News and notes from around the interweb:
- Delta passenger brings pool noodle for resting their bare feet
- Dan Eleff says that it was price and fleet commonality, not politics that led El Al to select the Boeing 737 for its upcoming order over Airbus A321s.
- Odd. Avios talks about its success as a currencies for more airlines (adding non-IAG Group carriers Qatar and Finnair with more negotiations underway) because “[British Airways] Exec Club members redeeming Qatar has gone up four fold, five fold.”
But that’s just because British Airways reduced the price of redemptions on Qatar to approximate what Qatar was charging. Now, given the ability to transfer points between program that was necessary. But the increased redemption was clearly the result of changing prices not because Avios become Qatar’s currency.
- United Airlines bag drop employee calls Korean passenger Kim Jong Un?
- Russian airline (and former oneworld member) S7 will provide a photo of flight attendants and their first names to assist passengers in providing feedback on their service. This is similar to a plan that Delta had ready but paused in the face of crew pushback.
- Air France’s Pop-Up Restaurant With Airplane Food For Paris Olympics
People who go barefoot on planes should be added to the no-fly list
A simple hack is cool. No to bare feet.
@RC People who want to unduly control other people should be spanked.
Is S7 going to include pictures of them in swimsuits? That would seem to match the mentality.
I agree, barefoot passengers should be on the NO FLY list. Very unhealthy.
Maybe some of the Russian flight attendants will become like baseball stars who have their photos on cards with statistics.
No wonder there are many damaged seatback pockets. I’ve been on many flts where the seat pocket has no more spring to it, therefore the pocket is practically touching your knees.
Yeah. The passenger in front will be thrilled of the kicking. This is the disrespectful behaviour that should be chided, not promoted by irresponsible bloggers and pretend reporters.
@Solo “People who want to unduly control other people should be spanked.” Requiring shoes to worn on a plane is certainly not “unduly.” Unwanted touching is.
Only tacky trash would think of doing this. Shoes at all times on planes.
