Did This American Airlines First Class Passenger Pay for Their Upgrade By Selling ‘OnlyFeet’ Pics Mid-Flight?

Bare feet on a plane is such an awful thing to do to the rest of the passengers in the cabin that a passenger with smelly feet once drove another so nuts that he got stabbed on arrival in the parking lot.

But people aren’t just taking off their shoes and socks and sticking their feet in the air. They are photographing their own bad behavior for posterity.

Or maybe they’re doing something a bit more nefarious? There’s a whole online market for feet pics, perhaps there’s a subgenre of people looking for photos of feet on a plane? With high speed inflight wifi, they can take the photos, upload, and start earning before they even land.

As flight attendants at American Airlines faced furloughs during the pandemic in 2020, one crewmember had a solution. She created a course to sell to her colleagues for $10 on how to sell feet pictures online.

Apparently not just any feet pictures make money, even on the internet, “[t]here are well-known poses in the foot fetish community that one must perfect and opportunistic scammers to watch out for.” The thing I don’t understand – that I guess is the advice to pay money for – is how do you get people to pay for something that’s probably already everywhere online for free?

I guess the passenger here is savvy enough at it to be able to fly first class, if you can call an American Airlines Airbus A320 that still has low-end US Airways seats more than a decade after the merger first class. Then again since American sells upgrades for as little as $40 the feet don’t have to appeal to many people to fund this lifestyle.

  1. Dude you do have a serious foot fetish. You know doctors say hands and mouths are way dirtier than feet right?

  2. Sexual foot fetishes are quite common, people get off touching, sucking on and looking at bare feet. Personally, I don’t get it, I think feet are gross.

  3. No problem with bare feet, bare butt, bare everything. It’s a great feeling of freedom not being bothered by much. Live and let live, love and tolerance, I say.

  4. Adam T. It really does depend on where the feet have last been. However in some cultures it’s considered an insult to show someone the bottom of your feet. Mr. Obama learned that when he had his picture taken showing the bottom of his shoes on the desk in the Oval Office. Given his background one might think he would know better.
Jake-1. Nope, but the good news is there are countries and cultures where you might be happier . . . until you’re not.
