Enter Here to Win a Seat on Star MegaDO 4!

BoardingArea is giving away two seats on the upcoming Star MegaDO 4. And the winners will even have their hotel accommodations paid for plus a little spending money as well.

It’s the ultimate frequent flyer adventure. Join a couple hundred of your newest frequent flyer enthusiast friends, meeting with airline executives, getting behind the scenes tours, bringing home amazing souvenirs and memories, and earning bonus elite qualifying miles in the MileagePlus program along the way.

Details of the program were released at the launch party. The event will begin the evening of Tuesday, November 13 in San Francisco. Wednesday flies San Francisco to Houston on the charter, a newly refurbished 767-400. Thursday is Houston to Chicago. And there’ll be plenty of United senior managers involved, other Star Alliance partners in San Francisco, and a whole bunch of major surprises along the way.

Here are official hotel details. Hyatt is a sponsor, and there’s a Hyatt Gold Passport promotion as part of the MegaDO. And there’s an optional Cowboy Day at the end of the MegaDO in Chicago.

For more information on the event, here is Milepoint’s forum for Star MegaDO 4.

January’s oneworld MegaDO was featured on the front page of the business section of USA Today and also in an Associated Press story that hit about 70 papers. Top media are ticketed for this event as well.

So here’s how you can enter..

How it Works: One person will be chosen at random to win an entry from this post. Each participating blog will have one winner. (Other BoardingArea blogs will also be giving away an entry this week.) The two BoardingArea winners will be drawn from the individual entrants chosen on each blog.

What You Need to Do: Answer the question, “Are you excited for United’s new 787? And if so, why?” You may only enter once here at View from the Wing. Enter by 11:59pm Mountain time on October 7.

The Prize: A reserved aisle or window seat next to Randy Petersen on the upcoming StarMegaDo 2012, hotel accommodations, and $250 for personal expenses. There will be a total of two total winners chosen at BoardingArea.

Additional details on the contest can be found here. You must be 18 to enter and will be responsible for your own positioning flights (to San Francisco for the start of the MegaDO and back home from Chicago).

So to enter, Are you excited for United’s new 787? And if so, why?

And to be clear, this question is just based on ‘what’s new at United’, the airline we’re working with on the charter.

Good luck, and giddy up!

  4. I am excited about the 787 coming to UA as this will be USA first new Boeing model for a legacy carrier. The fuel savings alone will help fill in the gaps that the 777 planes can not service, profits will then increase!

  6. Absolutely, I am glad to see United being the first US carrier to get this state of the art airplane with all its innovations. I’ve already booked myself on it to get to FTU!

  7. Yes, because I can’t wait to see if the lower cabin altitude and the bigger windows make a difference

  8. yep, excited by the increased pressurization and higher humidity. can’t wait to fly it.

  9. My cousin worked at Boeing and said that the plane was the best ever–what a thrill it would be to ride it!

  10. Yes, because some of them are built in my hometown of Charleston, SC. I’ve never flown a plane before where I knew some of the people who helped build it!

  11. Yes. It’s been a long time since United added a new aircraft type and this one seems to be really advanced.
