News and notes from around the interweb:
- Credible.com offers up to 20,000 United miles for student loans. You can now earn up to 50,000 JetBlue TrueBlue points for refinancing student loans (at a rate of 1 point per $2).

- Password manager 1Password’s mode to protect you from border searches makes no sense
The password-manager 1Password has just implemented a travel mode that tries to protect users while crossing borders. It doesn’t make much sense. To enable it, you have to create a list of passwords you feel safe traveling with, and then you can turn on the mode that only gives you access to those passwords. But since you can turn it off at will, a border official can just demand you do so. Better would be some sort of time lock where you are unable to turn it off at the border.

- Emirates is going to start charging economy passengers for wifi (and make premium cabin passengers be members of their loyalty program to get it free). They don’t have enough bandwidth to support free internet. But I don’t expect pricing it to make things much faster because the bandwidth on their A380s is too limited for that still.
Someone doesn’t understand 1Password’s new travel mode. The only way to determine if there are missing passwords is to go to the website and log into your account. (So, leave the password for your 1Password login at home). Also, the only way to re-enable your non-travel passwords is at the same website.
1Password got this travel mode exactly right!
