American Airlines flight attendant Breaunna Ross shared a video of her last announcement on her last flight before her expected furlough. She arrives at Dallas Fort Worth and shares she “didn’t hold it together lolllll.”
Another cabin crew member – who is also getting furloughed – recorded her last announcement. And then the two of them “held hands as [they] landed.”
As all of you know the airline industry has been impacted greatly by this global pandemic. Unfortunately, this is my last working day before that day comes. I will never forget seeing your faces today. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for the kindness shown on today’s flight.
…I also want to personally thank each and every one of you for choosing to fly American today. This job was an escape for me after being unhappy with my job after graduating from college. It was a job that awarded me many opportunities. A job that I fell in love with. I have been to places I thought I’d never have the opportunity to go and places I never knew existed. I’ve met people from all walks of life and made friendships that will last the rest of my life
…With so much happening in the world, you never know how small actions can impact the next person. Please be kind to one another, practice compassion with everyone and live with acceptance of yourself and others.
The flight attendant shared a note she received from a passenger in response, thanking her and making a donation to Make a Wish in her honor.
That wasn’t the only passenger appreciation, though. Ross shares that many passengers told her the announcement “”was beautiful, thanked me for sharing, told me good luck,” and one passenger even gave her money (which is against American Airlines rules, but hopefully under the circumstances they’ll let slide). Though she expects to be leaving, she says, her “heart is full.”
That was a very touchy n spirit filled announcement the flight attendant said before her furlough begins. Breaunna is a very very nice n professional flight attendant n I hv flown on her shift to Dallas Fort Worth n frm Memphis to Dallas Fort Worth. American Airlines is my #1 industry I like to fly on, n the others are ok too. This Covid-19 has brought about a change for everyone n I would like to just pass this POSITIVE feedback to her n others that will be affected by this. “ Keep ur head up and know ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE THROUGH OUR GOD, and OUR GOD WILL MAKE A WAY”. Much ❤️❤️love and Prayers to Breaunna Ross and the American Airlines Employees.
To bad all thank you anouncments are not more like this and not “I’m only here for your safety, don’t bother me with a request for a drink”

This is so tacky. It is staged to go viral. If it was genuine and not a stunt. It wouldn’t have been caught on camera or scripted on an iPad.
Sorry you feel that way Delta. I thought it was far from tacky and came straight from the heart. Your empathy is overwhelming,
Boy why are you so unpleasant?
Is this not the time to pull together and show compassion for others who are impacted in such a devastating way through no fault of there own.
If you are truly unable to say something nice do the world a favor, say Nothing !!!!
Delta!!!!
Delta if you can read it states another Flight Attendant recorded it for her. It was their last flight together. How silly of you not to read the full article but try to post a negative comment. Shame on you buddy.
This is such a heartwarming story in these tumultuous times. Thank you, Breaunna, for sharing your humanity and beautiful spirit.
Agreed, heartwarming story: “A job that I fell in love with” and she flew to places she “never knew existed.”
Thank you, Breaunna!
