News and notes from around the interweb:
- The death of the airline ticket office
- United will no longer give Polaris lounge access to Air Canada customers. Chicago – Toronto on Air Canada had gotten access while the same route flying United did not.
- The British Airways flight attendant who was fired for going off in a racist Snapchat rant was previously fired by Norwegian for spitting in a passenger’s coffee.
- Passengers on a Spicejet Kabul – Delhi flight had to deplane prior to departure when the airport came under rocket attack. The US Defense Secretary was the actual target. (HT: Ryan Boyd)
- How US airlines are deceiving you about their foreign competitors. Meanwhile American’s CEO Doug Parker says the airline will never lose money again which One Mile at a Time points out suggests Etihad’s 6 flights to the US can hardly be an existential threat.
- New academic paper on the implications of travel hacking I note several citations to me, to One Mile at a Time, and to Frequent Miler.
- Concorde: A supersonic story
When it says video unavailable it makes me suspicious that BA had it taken down. Please keep track of the career of the FA that spits racist insults and in customers’ coffee. She needs to be demoted to amongst the world’s lowest regarded scum along with Trumpanzee redneck baboons.
It’s worth mentioning that the kind of showcase ticket offices discussed in the CN Traveler article still exist outside the US. The SQ office in Singapore’s Ion Orchard shopping center comes to mind immediately.
Is spit not present tense? Surely she SPAT in the the customer’s coffee?
