Chase is launching an Air Canada Aeroplan credit card later this year and if you RSVP to be notified of the card’s launch you’ll be eligible for an extra 10,000 miles in addition to the initial bonus offer available with the card.
Sign up for the waitlist program by November 9, 2021 (could this be a hint about timing of planned card launch?) Card application must be submitted by February 15, 2022 through the application link provided in the waitlist email that’s sent once the product is available.
I love this in the terms, it’s the most Québécois disclaimer ever: “The Chase Aeroplan credit card will be serviced by Chase in English only.”
Details on the card haven’t been released yet, though we know it’ll be a Mastercard. Chase issues almost exclusively Visa products (they lease Visa’s network for a flat fee) and Visa helped fund Air Canada’s reacquisition of the program from Aimia. Air Canada co-brands are Amex and Visa cards in Canada. Mastercard must be offering a lot to break in with Air Canada and further with Chase.
Air Canada? Seriously, Gary? Haven’t YOU reported how they refuse to refund flyers for flights THEY canceled? And now you’re shilling (indirectly) for them?
@Thing1 – Aeroplan is a great program. Air Canada is, in my view, a dishonest airline. Both things can simultaneously be true.
