  • Hyatt Diamonds get even more (I love skipping the taxi queue).
  • There’s a new website for this relationship that features free room, points, and experience giveaways.

Last year Hyatt introduced a partnership with MGM M Life that was really revolutionary in the hotel industry.

Hyatt Gold Passport and MGM M Life offered both reciprocal points earning and redemption, and also elite status recognition, in what amounted to a hotel alliance (akin to the major airline alliances).

Las Vegas was a clear gap area for major chain hotels. IHG had Venetian, Starwood a Westin, Hilton an off-strip property. Starwood subsequently introduced their own partnership with Caesars but it was less extensive, not earning status nights or receiving status recognition across the chains.

In one swoop Hyatt Gold Passport had the best presence in Las Vegas, and MGM had its own global footprint for M Life members as well.

They’ve just launched a digital hub that will help travelers explore Vegas and make the most of the Hyatt Gold Passport and MGM M life relationship.

  38. I’m glad to see Hyatt getting in on the vegas game after all the aquisition of Hilton (Trump and the PH Towers) and Marriot’s play at the Cosmo. I’d like to see who else is managing properties that link to rewards programs.

  41. I’ve been impressed with Rocketmiles in the Vegas area. I booked a hotel for 2 nights at Red Roicks (off strip) for $129 and 6,000 United miles. I’ve seen some other great miles for the Wynn and Paris, up to 10,000 miles for a night! Would love to see huge mile pick-ups highlighted for the Vegas playground! 2nd entry 🙂

  44. How can I forget airlines w/all this hotel talk! United and the Cosmo partnered for some freebe items in the air (including match play and spa coupons), although i think Delta would have been a better partner. Anyhow, looking to see the fun ways to get to Vegas and any deals! For awhile US Airways was offering bonus miles for weekend trips to Vegas from DCA. 3rd entry 😛

  46. OK, last long-winded post, I promise! There is SO much more to do in Vegas than gamble (cough, cough). I love Viator.com to book tours, especially since I can earn airline miles with my credit card and with the cost, which includes Las Vegas shows too! How about other opportunities in Vegas, like Hoover Dam (the light show is amazing). Last entry! 😀
