- Hyatt’s one free night plus breakfast with paid stay offer in Hawaii through December 30.
- Opentable is being acquired by Priceline. In their email to Opentable users, to highlight good news about the service, they note they’re rolling out their “new payment product that lets you easily pay with your OpenTable mobile app without asking for the check.”
- Hilton’s Member-Get-Member promotion lets you earn up to 125,000 HHonors points for referring your friends.
- National Car Rental e-mailed some participants from the last round of their big ‘One Two Free’ bonus to let them know they’ll be bringing it back this fall. (HT: Mark R.)
I didn’t get the email, though I’m an ‘Executive Elite’ with National and earned and burned several free rental days with last fall’s promotion.
- The House of Representatives voted to add an amended to Department of Transportation funding this week that would block Norwegian Air from flying to the U.S.. This bi-partisan amendment, supported by voice vote, seeks to block cheap fares that compete against US carriers. (HT to a reader whose name I don’t know, so apologies.)

Not one free night per paid night at Hyatt Hawaii as I read it at least: Limit one per night per stay as long as the minimum stay requirement is satisfied. Minimum stay required to for offer and to earn free night varies by property. Minimum 6 night length of stay at Andaz Maui at Wailea, minimum 5 night stay at Grand Hyatt Kauai Resort & Spa, minimum 5 night stay at Hyatt Regency Maui Resort & Spa and minimum 4 night stay at Hyatt Regency Waikiki Beach Resort & Spa.
I read it as 1 free night per stay, am I wrong?

So I’m lost on this too, if you are suppose to get one free night for each paid night, and to stay at the Hyatt Regency Waikiki Beach resort needs a min of 4 nights, why don’t you get 4 nights free? Am I missing something here.
I still read it as one free night with a paid night. But of course, it isn’t.
Plus, naturally, the FREENT rate isn’t available at the Andaz when I want to go anyway. But they are offering a different “one free night” rate for my dates. It only costs a total of $275 more for 5 nights than the “seasonal” offer without the free night.
So much ado about fake “free” nights.
So the protectionist Congress is trying to keep out foreign competition and free trade? Really, I expected more from this House of Representatives, where is the Conservative Caucasus when you need them? Moreover, who shouldn’t the domestic US airlines face competition from Emirates domestic? How about a little market competition? Isn’t that better for everyone?
@Joy great questions all, although i tend to believe it would be ryanair that would compete on domestic routes if given a chance rather than Singapore and Cathay Pacific . . . 😉
Come on Congress, more competition ALWAYS benefits the consumer. But the consumer doesn’t spend millions of dollars on lobbyists I suppose.
Same Hyatt deal is offered by Amex FHR (free night plus breakfast for 2) and on top of what Hyatt is offering you also get 4PM check out, room upgrade and $100 credit per stay. Also, same rate as Hyatt.
