News and notes from around the interweb:
- 1000 free miles for joining the Vietnam Airlines frequent flyer program
- Middle Eastern airlines shifting focus from expansion to efficiency
- I used to think that Air India was the worst negotiator in the world. It turns out that the Indian government is worse. Air India plans to sell and lease back the two Boeing 787s in their fleet that they still own, with the Indian government guaranteeing the lease payments.
Air India Boeing 787 - Virgin Australia’s Velocity program is giving away 7 million points, divide by the number of people who register and that’s how many you’ll receive for having done so. (HT: One Mile at a Time
- Why UPS trucks almost never turn left
- So Lindsay Lohan is considering converting to Islam, so she’s now getting profiled by airport security.
If converting to Islam keeps LiLo away from drugs and alcohol, the world (well, at least her world) will be a safer place.
Sadly, membership in Virgin Australia’s program appears only to be open to residents of a handful of countries and territories (none of which are outside of Oceania).
So… when does LiLo report for her genital mutilation..? No word on that apparently.
Lindsay Lohan has as criminal history a mile long. She should be pulled for secondary screening regardless of her spiritual journey of the month.
You are far more likely to be profiled by the majority Muslim staff at Heathrow if you are white and look middle or upper class, especially a female, (this happened to my wife in Terminal 1 a couple years ago, who was racially abused as a, “white *#@$!,” by a hijab-wearing security person.)
Is there no level Lohan won’t sink to to try to get publicity?
Lilo is lucky she didn’t get “groped/molested” by the deviant TSA agents..
