  1. I used to stay in the Latham Hotel off M Street NW quite a lot during the Clinton Admin years. Always thought it could be made into a higher end property if done right. It had a boutique hotel feel, but back then it was furnished like the Key Bridge Marriot or the Holiday Inn in Ballston with service levels to match.

  2. “One hotel employee looked me up in Facebook, saw I was married to a brunette, threatened to tell my wife I was having an affair unless i gave me $1,000 USD.”

And that, my friends, is why you need to set your FB account to private. I’m shocked at how many people don’t, making it really easy to stalk you. In this case, the guy had things set up well. But he shouldn’t gloat because this scammer could have easily found something else to steal from him.

  3. @AngryFlier … So , did he give himself ( “me” ) 1,000 ?

Sounds like he has himself confused with himself , no ?

  4. I think the idiot that tried to pull the Pathetic blackmail scheme on another deserves to get retribution brought against him for his pathetic actions

  5. So, the lego luggage will store less than luggage without the “bumps.” Why take up more OH bin space than needed?

  6. Chase offer I got on a Freedom Unlimited was 10k for a $400+ hotel booking made before 1/31/25 for a stay completed by 8/31/25. Given that Chase jacks up hotel rates, it doesn’t really amount to much of a savings.
