New and notes from around the interweb:
- When the Department of Transportation offered its new final enforcement guidance that lets airlines crack down on emotional support animals I’m pretty sure that this from a lawsuit against American Airlines isn’t what they had in mind!
Attorneys for Diveroli say that even though their client followed all of the rules and correct procedures for bringing a companion animal in the business class cabin of her Miami International Airport (MIA) to Los Angeles International Airport (LAX)-bound flight, she was met with verbal abuse and an involuntary downgrade to the economy cabin. Later, her dog was battered and eventually locked in a lavatory.
- Why is there an extra length of track at Washington National airport’s metro station?
- A man who has already pulled an Airbus A320 with his teeth plans to do so with an Airbus A380 at Dubai’s Expo 2020.
- This may be the greatest ad ever produced by an online travel agency, but it doesn’t give me confidence in the product.
- After another United pilot drinking incident the airline will enforce 12 hours bottle to throttle instead of eight.

- Embedding a tweet on this, in case it makes the Financial Times piece easier to click through to (worked for me) – interesting that Malaysia is looking abroad to saviors for its national airline.
“Qatar Airlines [sic] has already submitted a proposal for a takeover” of Malaysia Airlines.
FT also says Malaysian PM favours a JAL takeover since JAL has been through bankruptcy.
Even if Qatar/JAL do the impossible, how much is there to gain? https://t.co/oowaafcYT7

The company that made that “greatest ad ever produced by an online travel agency” went bust in 2014.
