American has become very aggressive in making upgrade offers, especially on flights that don’t appear to be selling in domestic first class. But it’s not just buy ups where American has gone down market. Looking for a one-way trip from Washington DC to Austin that I need in the coming weeks, the first 9 options all had first class just $100 more than coach.

Pilot Dropped Congresswoman’s Purse From Cockpit Window After She Pounded Plane Door—Airline Banned Her For Life, Ex-Speaker Says

Former House Speaker Kevin McCarthy told the story that after boarding, she stepped back off the aircraft to make “one more” phone call after the plane’s door had been closed, and proceeded to pounded on the aircraft door when she they wouldn’t let her back on. According to McCarthy, the pilot passed the lawmaker’s purse out the cckpit window – and the carrier barred her for life.

High-Season On The Côte d’Azur: Waking Up To The Mediterranean At Nice’s Iconic 1929 Art Deco Hyatt Regency

I’d say that the hotel’s decor and interiors feels somewhat dated and my room felt very much like a Hyatt Regency that could have been anyway. The bed was good and blackout shades excellent.

But given the beachfront location and that the room was large, plus good food and overall pleasant ambiance I’m not sure I’d rate any Hyatt Regency other than the property in Danang more highly?
