I bought my own bed with a 40% discount — something I haven’t seen since March of last year but that was much more common between 2006 and 2009. And I got in before the May 2010 price increase. Via Points, Miles, and Martinis, the W Hotels Store is offering 40% off with promo code K7H9V. I posted a similar 35% offer back in September. I believe it’s been since 2007 that I last saw a 40% discount. Of course, the price of the mattresses went up about 10% back in May of last year, so this 40% isn’t as good as the one I used to buy my own W Hotels bed four years ago. I am still happy with my purchase (of a plush top with feather bed). Expiration date on the offer is unknown, if you’re interested you may want to make the purchase now.

This offer comes up frequently (see for instance here, here, here, here, and here) but I haven’t seen it in awhile. Every time it pops up it’s worth noting because it really is a great deal, I bought my W Hotel bed (plush top with featherbed) in March of 2007 and I’ve been happy as can be. 40% off makes the price reasonable, shipping is free and they’ll remove your old bed for free as well. And the discount applies to bedding as well, though I personally didn’t choose mine from the W Hotel Store. The W Hotel Store 40% employee discount on beds and bedding is back. (Previously discussed here and here.) Code Q96TE (which you enter while reviewing your order prior to purchase) yields 40% off until 2/29/08. For non-bed and bedding items, code T6X4A should still take 20% off but I haven’t tested it.
