On Sunday, an American Airlines passenger from Phoenix to Austin was removed from the aircraft for passing gas – and talking about it with other passengers in the cabin.
Hyatt’s Eliza Jane hotel in New Orleans has just started adding a 1.85% surcharge when you pay your bill by credit card. That’s basically an undisclosed 1.85% surcharge on all hotel guests. World of Hyatt members are billed an extra fee for paying with their Hyatt Visa from Chase, even.
The Chase Sapphire Lounge at New York LaGuardia airport only just opened on Tuesday. Usually it takes awhile for new lounges to get crowded because word of mouth has to spread that the lounge even exists. This one is 22,000 square feet – twice the size of the nearby American Express Centurion lounge. And the existence of both in the same terminal should help spread out the crowding.
And yet there’s already queueing to get into this new Chase lounge!

Southern Airways Express flight 246 took off from Washington Dulles airport this afternoon at around 12:45 p.m. from runway 30.
