News and notes from around the interweb:
- Registration is now live for Starwood’s summer promotion
- Russian engineer claims to be able to predict plane crashes with 98% accuracy. I call BS.
- Undercover investigators can smuggle explosives and weapons through TSA checkpoints 95% of the time.
- Amsterdam’s airport uses land art to deflect noise
- Club Carlson’s 2nd night free on award redemptions for co-brand credit card holders was set to expire last night, but these awards are actually bookable until Midnight eastern tonight.
- Kenya Airways all-female Boeing 787 crew. Take that, Al-Shabaab!
This is clearly a cruel joke from Club Carlson given that I’ve contacted them and U.S. Bank a bunch of times to see if they can post my 40k annual bonus early, and I’ve been told my bonus is set to post on June 2nd. Probably sometime at 12:30 a.m. eastern I’m sure.
I booked a few CC stays in Ireland last night, and I was charged today’s higher rate for all bookings made yesterday.
I really enjoyed that video about the Kenya Air all woman crew . Getting a look at the 787 cockpit
during flight operations was great also. I am actually related to several pilots including an excellent woman pilot .
If I predict that every flight will not crash, aren’t I going to do way better than 98%?
