The Palacio Duhau – Park Hyatt Buenos Aires is a great city hotel, set in an upscale neighbor apart from the hustle and bustle of the city and just a few blocks from the Four Seasons. There are two separate buildings, connected via underground walkway or outside through the garden. There’s the original Palacio and there’s a new tower. I’ve really enjoyed staying there.
The hotel itself is stunning, modern and minimalist for the bulk of the property and yet it blends well with its exterior and palace heritage. In a way it’s a Park Hyatt the way that I’ve come to expect throughout the Asia Pacific, it’s an oasis in a city like Buenos Aires
Service at the hotel in general was outstanding. The front desk staff were extremely friendly.
And I’m giving away a stay at this Park Hyatt to a reader — read on! I’m helping to give away 2 nights here inclusive of breakfast.
- Enjoy a 2-night stay for 2 guests in a Park Deluxe King Room at the five-star Palacio Duhau – Park Hyatt Buenos Aires located in the heart of the French heritage district of Recoleta, including daily breakfast at Gioia Restaurant & Terraces plus full access to Ahin Wellness & Spa, valued at approximately $1,500 USD / £1,160 GBP
This is a very special giveaway, thanks to my good friends at Luxury Travel Diary. Regular readers know them as a high-end travel blog with great reviews. They’re based in the UK and run travel auctions with real bargains.
As I’ve said before, folks who already know about these auctions don’t like this added attention, because there don’t seem to be enough bidders for many of their best offerings relative to the value available. Some of their items go way too cheap.
- Here are their auctions.
- And here are the auctions ending soon which are probably the best to check out right now – to get an idea of just how good a deal you’re likely to get.
Seriously, these deals about to end are insane - Check out 5 nights in Dubai, 2 nights glamping at a Scottish Castle, 3 nights in a villa for 8 in Jamaica or 5 nights in Tokyo. Nice places for a fraction of what you should be paying.
Other hand-picked auctions to check out– 3 Nights At The Andaz Peninsula Papagayo Resort, Costa Rica which I absolutely loved earlier this year and in my opinion the perfect stay length, and 4-Nights on a Half Board Basis at the IHG InterContinental Mauritius Resort Balaclava Fort.
This prize is being given away by the hotel and Luxury Travel Diary, I’m just helping to highlight it and randomly select the winner.
To enter: leave a comment on this post with your favorite item up for auction at Luxury Travel Diary, or why you would choose to stay at Palacio Duhau – Park Hyatt Buenos Aires. You may enter two times if you wish and answer those two questions one time each in separate comments.
Contest deadline and drawing winner: Entries close Saturday, September 9 at Noon eastern. I will draw winner with the assistance of random.org.
The fine print: Advance booking is required and it’s subject to availability. Terms and conditions apply. Winner will have one week to respond to email notifying of the prize, otherwise the prize will be forfeit and made available to another reader.
For avoidance of doubt, I have no affiliation with Luxury Travel Diary or Palacio Duhau – Park Hyatt Buenos Aires. I am not getting anything in exchange for running this giveaway other than an opportunity to share the place with readers.
The hotel is solely responsible for providing prize to winner. All decisions made in the course of running this giveaway are final and unappealable and your entry signifies your acceptance. The goal here is to make readers aware of a pretty cool auction opportunity, and to give away a stay. So please don’t make it hard on me for doing so!
Perfect excuse for a trip to Buenos Aires.
I’ve never been to Buenos Aires, and I’d love the chance to hop down for a weekend to see if it’s worth returning to!
Definitely the 3 Nights At The Andaz Peninsula Papagayo Resort! It’s on the top of my bucket list.
We stayed at the Park Hyatt Buenos Aries last November. Stayed on points. Service was great, they upgraded us to a suite, and breakfast buffet was really nice. For those reasons we’d love t go back.

The Palacio Duhau would be a tremendous stop along a South America excursion taking me from the Patagonia to Iguazu Falls. I’ve spent one day in Buenos Aires before so I definitely haven’t had a chance to explore the city and all it’s culture, which the two nights with this opportunity would allow.
The auction for 2 nights at the closest hotel to Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe definitely comes to the top of my list. I’ve always wanted to see Victoria Falls and do some bungee jumping in that area so that auction definitely stands out.

My favourite item are the four nights in a beach villa in the Cape Winelands, South Africa. I’ve never been in subsaharan Africa and it’s seems like a perfect place for hiking, water sports and enjoying nature.
I’d want to stay in Buenos Aires because last time I was there it was a 48 hour stop-over and the city is so fascinating there is plenty more to see that we missed out on last time.
Gary, I’ve been following your blog for years. Since you haven’t come up with a way for me to use my millions of points to get a room at the Casa Rosada… this is the best second choice for holding my hands up like Eva Peron/Madonna on one of those glorious balconies. Trip booked for BA on March 9-11. If the trip is valid then, I won’t be crying for Argentina at the Park Hyatt!
Burger and lobster at West India Quay is my favorite auction because it is really random!
Favorite auction is 5 Nights At Park Hotel Tokyo, Minato-Ku, Tokyo, Japan.
I’d chose to stay at the Park Hyatt Buenos Aires because it’s a palace and I love palaces!
Always wanted to go to Argentina and the Park Hyatt would be an excellent place to stay!!
My 86 year old mother has bugged me for years to join her for her “last” cruise and I finally acquiesced, departing Buenos Aires Sunday March 4 to cruise around the cape to Patagonia and Santiago. She is old school and would revel in the charm and ambience of the Park Hyatt! Got her there and back in lie flat comfort on her own points btw.
Never been to Buenos Aires before so Park Hyatt Buenos Aires would be nice.
I’d love to stay at the PH Buenos Aires because I love the location and architecture of the hotel and I’ve always wanted to go to Argentina!

Because it’s a Park Hyatt…the best of all Hyatt brands!
Ilala Lodge Hotel, which is the closest hotel to Victoria Falls!
I would also love to stay at the Park Hyatt Buenos Aires as I’ve had Argentina high on my bucket list for quite some time. A stay at the PH BsAs followed by a trip to the vineyards and stay at the Park Hyatt Mendoza would be fantastic!
I would love to stay at the Park Hyatt because it is situated in Recoleta and I love the neighborhood.
Andaz Papagayo would be my favorite auction at present.
I want to go to this Park Hyatt because Gary said it’s like Park Hyatt’s in Asia!
