  1. Uber charges more because…

    It can.

Algorithms enable capitalism to increase profits.

It was supposed to disrupt transportation. Now eith all the fees, it just costs more.

  2. Shame on the airline for loading food beyond the use by date and shame on the cabin crew for serving it.

  3. United catering issues? I don’t think anyone is shocked or surprised. The weakest area of the airline continues….

  4. Re expired food packages:
Which is worst~ a slightly expired item, or one with a use-by date almost 2 years into the future?
JAL was guilty of the latter!

  5. First time I caught the served airplane food having an item that had passed its expiry date was on an SAS flight years ago. Ever since then, I often look at the dates.

That said, some of those printed dates people encounter on packaged food may be “best before” dates. But given I am not like one of the 1.5+ million Palestinians being starved of food and clean water in besieged Gaza this Christmas, a complaint about food one or two days beyond the printed date on airplane food just seems to be a true luxury problem.
