Taco Bell is opening a resort hotel in Palm Springs August 9th. It’s “meant for 18+ superfans” and will have “exclusive Taco Bell menu items and plenty of surprises” and the resort will only last a short time.
Reservations will open in June. The fast food chain claims this “isn’t a stunt, but instead part of Taco Bell’s wider strategy of moving the brand beyond the traditional fast-food experience.” According to Taco Bell chief global brand officer Marisa Thalberg,
This idea of allowing people to kind of fully experience and embrace and immerse themselves in every aspect of the Taco Bell lifestyle led us to the idea of doing a hotel
The perfect location for a Taco Bell hotel, it seems to me, isn’t Palm Springs but at the nicest Taco Bell in the world in Pacifica, California.
Three years ago a Taco Bell restaurant was listed on Airbnb.
And already Taco Bell performs weddings in Las Vegas (more than 165 couples have been married there in the past two years). I imagine if the Taco Bell Hotel has meeting space it too could be a great venue to say quiero casarme contigo. But to really make a hotel work they’re going to need a better loyalty program. I propose Hot Sauce Rewards.
Cool!
Every day we move further from God’s light.
I read stuff like this (and your McEmbassy stuff) and out of habit I check the calendar to make sure it isn’t April 1. Then I’m like “oh crap this is real.”
Every once in awhile it actually is April 1, and then I SMH and say “duh”.
Although most corporate April Fool’s jokes are so lame there’s no need to check the calendar.
@ Arcanum – lol. That might be the best (and most accurate) comment I’ve read in a while.
@Arcanum – yep there is no way that this can be viewed as a positive for human society religion or none rofl
