‘Kicked So Hard He Flew’: Egyptian Man Arrested At Dulles Airport After Brutally Attacking Customs Beagle Who Found His 100-Pound Smuggling Stash

A 70 year old Egyptian man was arrested and denied entry to the United States after kicking a Customs dog who found more than 100 pounds of undeclared food in hs bags at Washington Dulles ariport. He was arrested on Tuesday and pled guilty the next day to misdemeanor harming animals used in law enforcement. The dog was five year old beagle Freddie, who was kicked “so hard that he was lifted off of the ground” according to documents filed with the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia. A search of the man’s luggage after the dog alerted uncovered 55 pounds of meat, 44 pounds of rice, and 15 pounds of vegetables (eggplant, cucumbers, and bell peppers) along with 2 pounds of corn seeds and one pound of herbs. CDC Alert Triggered As O’Hare Customs Dog Goes Wild Over Maggot-Infested Bushmeat Off Amsterdam Flight

A customs dog alerted to a passenger’s bag off of an arriving Amsterdam flight in Chicago on Saturday and it’s no surprise. The contents were easy to smell: raw African bushmeat that had been decomposing for 30 hours in transit, infested with maggots. The dog was so agitated that it began tearing at the plastic wrap as soon as the luggage appeared.

Smugglers Shipped Duck Intestines To JFK Airport – Hidden Inside Rattlesnakes

The customs forms for 1,966 cartons said they were nail clippers and pet grooming supplies. Anyone who opened up the cartons were supposed to just be scared off by the preserved rattlesnakes inside, I guess, though it seems like that would be at least a paperwork violation once found.

Hidden inside – the rattlesnakes were just a decoy – were duck intestines from China.

Pre-Christmas Crackdown: Travelers Don’t Realize They Must Declare Cash When Leaving U.S.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection is engaged in a “pre-Christmas crackdown” on passengers carrying cash out of the country with an apparent focus on Washington Dulles airport.

On Thursday they seized $68,000 from a family flying United Airlines 612 to Lagos, Nigeria after searching their bags. They were carrying $68,216, and authorities left them with $216 and allowed them to continue their travels.

Airline Forgets To Send Arriving Passengers To Customs, Now They Have To Return To JFK Airport

A passenger off of a transatlantic flight to New York has shared what happened when they were accidentally directed straight out of JFK airport – instead of being directed to immigration.

They were sent a note by the airline that they had to return to New York JFK airport the next day and given a specific time to do so in order to present themselves to the U.S. government.
