JetBlue’s award travel has been restricted, offering low value for their points and making transfers from credit card programs unattractive. However, the partnership with Qatar Airways now allows for point redemption for JetBlue flights, with a distance-based award chart and wide availability for transatlantic business class bookings.

Loyalty as the New Gold: How Reluctant Airlines, Like JetBlue, Are Changing Their Tune
JetBlue, initially hesitant about its loyalty program, has significantly enhanced its TrueBlue program in recent years, especially in light of its partnership with American Airlines. Amidst the financial challenges faced by ultra-low-cost carriers and smaller airlines, many are realizing that loyalty programs, once viewed as cost centers, are now profitable avenues, with airlines like Frontier, Spirit, and Allegiant doubling down on their loyalty initiatives.
JetBlue Employees In “Full Scale Revolt” As Airline Melts Down Financially, Mired In Court
JetBlue is grappling with significant financial instability and mounting legal troubles. Amidst this turmoil, the airline’s employees are reportedly in open revolt, further intensifying the crisis and raising concerns about the company’s future prospects.

The View From Passengers Inside The Plane That Tipped Back On Its Tail At New York JFK Airport

Blood In The Water At Delta: JetBlue Starts Poaching SkyMiles Elites
In Mel Brooks’ “The Producers,” Zero Mostel and Gene Wilder intentionally produce a flop on Broadway. They oversold shares in the production many times, and planned to run away with investors’ money. In the 1967 film “Springtime For Hitler and Germany” was an ironic, surprise smash hit. In 2023, Delta’s changes to the SkyMiles program are producing equal and opposite amounts of outrage.
Without JetBlue Partnership, American Airlines Stops Competing In New York
American Airlines is dropping New York LaGuardia to Kansas City for November through March (and possibly beyond). They had been operating two regional jets daily. They are also dropping New York LaGuardia to Houston Intercontinental for November through March (and possibly beyond).
The airline’s LaGuardia departures are down 13% compared to 9 months earlier and that is even as American is getting slots back from JetBlue with the unwinding of the partnership between the two carriers.
