At the time Capital One shared they’d be adding airline points transfer partners. And when they ran an Emirates miles transfer bonus in March they shared that there would be more transfer bonuses to come. They added JetBlue as a transfer partner, and highlighted it with a transfer bonus in May.
I’m not sure why Marriott didn’t announce a promotion to coincide with the launch of their new program name, why they are spending money on printing and postage to announce the promotion, or why they’ve failed to get up the promotion website that they’re mailing members about — other than to say of course that’s what happened.

I hadn’t seen this before, and have been wanting such a tool ever since Dave Friedman’s excellent site stopped working maybe three years ago — a website that finds United Mileage Plus promotions and automaticallly signs you up for them. The only caveat is that the tool doesn’t discriminate between better or worse promotions, so if there are two out there which are mutually exclusive (don’t permit double dipping) you’ll wind up getting the first one the tool finds. But for busy people without the time or inclination to specifically track what’s available at any given time, this is outstanding.
Through the end of the year, miles earned from select partners (mostly hotel and car rentals but also FTD flowers) count towards elite status with USAirways. No registration required.

Promo code DCMIDWEST will get you 10% off at Midwestairlines.com on tickets purchased through November 30, 2005 for travel through February 17, 2006. It’s a Diners Club card promo but terms and conditions don’t seem to require use of a Diners Club card (and the Midwest Airlines website probably wouldn’t even know if you were using one anyway, now that Diners Club is just a Mastercard — at most they’d be able to restrict payment to Mastercards but they probably don’t even do that). Travel from November 23 to 27 and December 22 to January 2, 2006 is blacked out from the discount.
A timeshare company is offering 500 Goldpoints for entering their sweepstakes. 500 Goldpoints aren’t worth much — you earn 500 points just for updating your email address every three months — but I figure it’s worth a sales call because every year I transfer Goldpoints into Northwest miles to complete a partner transaction in the Fly Free Faster promo for 10,000 miles… (Hat tip to Free Frequent Flyer Miles.)
