- PointHacks suggests a New Zealand post office box you can sign up for online as a way to leverage the Qantas offer of a status match for New Zealand residents (which would get you free American Airlines lounge access, including on domestic itineraries).

Wow! The other Gary writing about Kuwait Airlines was actually a pleasure to read. No spelling or grammatical errors, it was amazing!
And you know what else…? No CC Hawking… imagine that.
The Kuwait trip report cracked me up. Seriously!
Gary – do you plan on employing any of PointsHacks tactics?
Sounds like he had a better-than-average experience on Kuwait Airways. Seriously.
On my regular DXB-BOM commute, KU in biz class (which usually winds up being the First Class seats on the BOM legs where they sell 3-class planes as 2-class) is usually the same price or cheaper than even the LCC nonstops. I tried it a couple times. Now I pay the extra to fly the LCC. Kuwait airport is a nightmare and KU service is a disgrace.
I’m not sure that NZ postal box thing will work, but isn’t that something best left to comments and obscure blogs? Some opportunities are simply not scaleable to a mass audience like yours. Kind of like a mistake hotel rate: publishing it here is almost certain to get everyone’s reservaiton cancelled (aka Brown Palace Hotel, Denver).
