Two Sets Of Passengers Removed After Multiple Fights Break Out On The Same Plane

At this point passenger incidents on planes are almost de rigueur but one special flight from Cairns in North Queensland, Australia to Groote Eylandt in the Northern Territory there had two separate brawls break out. The plane returned to Cairns after the first one to remove a passenger, and then continued on its way – only to see a second fight take place, causing the plane to be met by both Australian Federal Police and Northern Territory Police. Two fights in one flight is original!

The fights occurred on Thursday, April 20. In video, a passenger actually raises a bottle over the head of another passenger to him them with it. When the flight returned to the gate in Cairns a woman was removed – and charged.

However the mistake here was that only the person actually committing a chargeable assault was removed. The rest of her group stayed on board. And three passengers were ultimately arrested on arrival due to the second fight that erupted once they were back in the air.

The flight was operated by Alliance Airlines, which flies Embraer 190 and Fokker jets and is part-owned by Qantas. A takeover of the carrier was blocked last week by the Australian government.

  1. We were across the aisle from what seemed to be a very heated religious dispute on a RJ small jet from Saudi to Amman… Nearly came to punches between two women. I expected the planner to turn around but after 10 min of yelling from about 10 people and a fainting spell from one of them they all settled down and our flight landed in Jordan on time. Definitely a flight to remember

  2. How d you train a Flight attendant these days? Fight attendant ! (And at the police academy).
