Delta is offering 50% off Sky Club premium drinks in Minneapolis through May 31.
[T]he Kiwi Fix drink at the Skyclubs is pretty damn good. AND at MSP, premium drinks are 50% off so it cost me a whopping 250 skypesos. $2.50 for a premium drink? I’ll take it. Heck, the Starbucks promo last week of 500 miles just bought me two of these
Customers are raving, “1000 skypesos for a couple double titos isn’t a bad redemption” while noting that “anything in the “Premium Upgrade Menu” is 50% off. So a bottle of Bollinger Special Cuvee should be 4600 miles instead of 9200 miles, WhistlePig is 500 miles, etc.”
Bollinger Special Cuvee is about a $70 bottle, so even against proper retail (rather than airport) pricing you’re still getting pretty good value for SkyMiles.
You used to get 2 cents per mile redeeming for premium drinks in the Sky Club. That’s nearly double what you’d usually get for tickets.
Pre-pandemic pricing
During the pandemic they devalued this to 1.5 cents. However at half off this is really outstanding value. You’ll find this available at both the Sky Clubs on the F/G Concourse as well as the newer Sky Club on the G Concourse.
I wonder why Delta is doing this. Have they been too successful at driving off people from Skyclubs and now want to entice them back?
@ Gary — Well, I guess these drinks will now be less premium since they cost less.
Hilarious. Fools raving about something they used to get for free. Kinda like the WFBF Diamond Medallions bragging about how they always buy FC seats now.
Delta delivers elevated, premium alcoholic delights to its discerning guests.
The words valuable and Sky Miles appearing in the same headline. That’s got to be a first.
it should ALWAYS be half off because if you’re ‘paying’ for this, you’re not having a ‘free’ drink that comes with the lounge.
