Woman Gets Off American Airlines Flight When The Vibrator In Her Carry-On Won’t Turn Off

An American Airlines passenger in the bulkhead of first class boarded her aircraft, and her carry on bag began making a loud vibrating noise. My razor has done this. I open the bag (it’s generally in my laptop bag) and turn it off. Here she didn’t want the whole cabin to see what she was turning off, so she walked off the aircraft and back onto the jet bridge. There, you can see what it was that was vibrating.

Pro-tip: take the batteries out before you travel. And Amanda Rojas couldn’t have been too embarrassed by the incident, because she posted the video her friend took on her TikTok account, where it’s been viewed more than 12.5 million times. She wrote (in Spanish), “when the whole plane wants to know why your suitcase is vibrating.”

This is more common than you’d think, in fact it is a frequent prank at TSA checkpoints. Here, a father packed a foot long sex toy and lube in his son’s carry on bag. TSA is gonna flag the lube if it’s over 100 milliliters! Dad sent his son through the checkpoint, and hijinks ensue.

  1. Obvious a Tik Tok set up posting to get clicks. Otherwise why did a friend just happen to be there to video it (the narcissist videoing of things that shouldn’t be recorded yet again) then she either allowed it to be posted or put on her account to post.

Man Gary either a slow news day, you are really gullible or your have a secret fetish about this stuff. In any event next time there is aa “story” like this just follow the advice of Herman Edwards and don’t hit send.

  2. @AC: I think Gary just couldn’t resist the opportunity to slip that “get off” pun into his headline.

  3. Informational update. I have been told by a friend that the batteries on rechargeables are not removable. So they must be gotten off before boarding. You’re welcome.

  4. @Gary.. “pro tip”? You realize sex toys, i.e. vibrators, are SEALED. they charge thru a plug in charging cable. But yea, go ahead and act like a know it all. You must be confusing a vibrator for your flesh light.

And, to educate you, @Gary, they operate off a series of buttons which have a 1-2 second hold requirement. So, I’m confident the switch was resting against something which activated the on switch.

But, yea, go ahead and keep suggesting they take the batteries out.

  5. @Steve – Man, you sure are getting worked up and personally offended by another person’s non-encyclopedic knowledge of masturbatory implements. Maybe some day all that self-pleasuring acumen will help you out on Jeapordy or something.

  6. Also, how does one of the “foremost experts in the field of miles, points, and frequent business travel” not recognize that bag as oversize for a carry-on?

  7. @Steve
No, not all sex toys are sealed and No, not all use a rechargeable battery that cannot be removed.

So Yes, you CAN take the batteries out of some of them.

And No, not all have a 1-2 second button to press. Some have a knob that turns on the bottom.

No, I do not travel with my battery operated sex toys. I take my non-battery operated ones.

  8. Happens all the time. I used to work at LAX and many a bag was a buzzing. Post 9/11, it would cause a big scene.

  9. Reminds me of getting a car at Reykjavik airport. We’re checking the car out for dents, scratches, whatever. It’s December. It’s dark. It’s cold. We just wanted to get on the road. Started the car and there was a weird sound coming from the trunk area and we thought something was surely wrong with the car and who needs a malfunctioning car in a foreign country. Got the agent who ‘didn’t hear a thing’. Probably because of the howling wind. Lucky for us. Got to our hotel and the sound followed us in. It was my electric shaver in my suitcase. Since then: always remove batteries from devices.
