  1. Something doesn’t add up –
“Free trial membership for a limited time”

    That isn’t lifetime membership.

  2. @rich I think the “free trial membership” refers to what you can get without the free4life promo code that’s currently available and will be the only free option once the promo code expires.

  3. I haven’t looked at TPG in years, but it sounds like with this new person it’ll be a hoot, maybe I’ll start again.

  4. I stayed at Nomad in LV last summer and even then it was pretty well known the “hotel in a hotel” would be rebranded. This had nothing to do with Hyatt leaving or Marriott coming in to partner with MGM (or Hilton’s recent acquisition of NoMad). Simply put MGM wanted to take over the space and put their own brand on it (like restricted upscale rooms/suites at Aria and MGM Grand) instead of licensing the Nomad brand. That is why it wasn’t included in Hilton’s plans because decisions had already been made it wouldn’t be a Nomad, under any circumstances, much longer.

  5. TPG and sponsored content? I just thought it was an unbiased blog from some travel guy. Huh.

Maybe they can find the bowtie guy and get him to do it.

  6. I wonder if TPG application process specifically states that a complete lack of integrity is required.

  7. If you book through HotelSlash, I assume you have the usual problem of getting none of your hotel status benefits?
