Hyatt Gold Passport is offering a 20% points bonus for Las Vegas stays between October 19 and December 29. What’s especially interesting is that almost all eligible hotels are MGM properties (Hyatt Gold Passport and MGM’s M life Rewards have an alliance that almost amounts to hotel codesharing). Registration is required.

Hyatt Gold Passport status is good for a match each year to MGM M life Rewards. M life’s resorts are mostly casino focused and mostly in Las Vegas. Platinum status gets M life Gold which is good for Gold room upgrades, free self parking, priority check-in and restaurant reservations, and VIP Line Access for nightclubs and pool day clubs. Hyatt’s Diamond gets M life Platinum which lets you skip the valet and taxi queues.

A 20% bonus is off of Hyatt’s base earning of 5 points per dollar spent, so one bonus point per dollar.

MGM’s Vegas hotels are great for Hyatt elite status runs. Since you can find several hotels literally on “the Strip” near each other, you can move from one to the other night after night. Each hotel would then count as a separate stay. And midweek rates can be super low at their lower-tier properties, for instance I stayed at the Monte Carlo earlier this year for $33.. while enjoying status benefits. This is even more valuable with a 20% bonus on earned points.

To be eligible to participate in this promotion, you must register by December 29, 2016 and be a member of both Hyatt Gold Passport® and M life Rewards. Membership in both programs is free and can be obtained through goldpassport.hyatt.com and Mlife.com.

To earn Hyatt Gold Passport points, you must provide your Hyatt Gold Passport membership number and M life Rewards membership number at check-in, be a registered guest physically occupying the room to which you are registered, and choose to earn Hyatt Gold Passport points for your stay. After registering, you will earn a twenty percent (20%) Hyatt Gold Passport point bonus for all Hyatt Gold Passport base points earned during an eligible M life-Eligible Stay or an eligible stay at Hyatt Place Las Vegas between October 19, 2016 and December 29, 2016 (“Promotion Period”). An M life-Eligible Stay is defined as (i) any stay where payment is made directly to a participating MGM Resorts International Las Vegas property, (ii) any stay booked through hyatt.com, or (iii) any stay booked through a Hyatt Global Contact Center.
