Fly American’s A321 Three-Cabin First Class for $518
Earlier today I wrote about American putting a 3-cabin aircraft once a day on Boston – Los Angeles.
For those who want to fly cross country in American’s three-cabin fully flat first class seats which are arranged one-one (each seat is both an aisle and a window seat) there’s a more economical way to do it than buying first class Boston – Los Angeles directly.
Piece of a Boeing 777’s Wing Fell Off — And Landed on a Car in Osaka
A KLM Boeing 777-200 flying from Osaka Kansai to Amsterdam on Saturday lost a piece of its wing — which fell onto a car.
As the plane climbed through 12,000 feet on departure a one meter fairing panel came off the plane — and fell onto Keihan National Highway in Osaka.
TIP: American is Selling Business Class for the Price of Coach Boston – Los Angeles
The American Airlines Airbus A321T is a 3-cabin aircraft with economy (including Main Cabin Extra extra legroom seating), fully flat business class, and 1-1 seating first class. It’s the most luxurious, high-end narrow body aircraft and the best narrowbody plane flying domestically in the U.S.
They’re going to fly this plane on one of their Boston – Los Angeles frequencies from December 17 through January 5. And you can book business class seats when buying coach.

Southwest’s Four New Commercials For Today’s NFL Games
The best thing about this campaign is that Southwest is investing heavily in ‘transfarency’ — no fees for changes, checked bags — suggesting that they aren’t about to kill that model with their new software which would more easily allow pre-assigned seats (and seat fees) and more.
Catch Me If You Can! 19 Year Old Fake Airline Pilot Scams 50 People
A 19 year old created a fake ID as a Singapore Airlines co-pilot in order to impress and scam 50 people in Hong Kong.
The man has been released on bail and, I suspect, now pretending to be either a doctor or a lawyer. The case is being investigated by Tom Hanks.

A Goat Tried to Check Into a Massachusetts Hotel Last Week and Police Responded
Goats play a very special role in the travel industry.
Last year an airport security goat got loose on a runway and forced an Airbus A319 to abort its landing. And in late 2015 flatulence from 2186 goats forced a Singapore Airlines plane to make an emergency landing. Chicago O’Hare, by the way, uses goats to clear airfield brush.
Is it Safe for Pilots to Take Photos in the Cockpit?
Pilots aren’t supposed to let attractive passengers join them up front. Even when the passenger is a porn star. Or a Playboy Bunny.
What do you think, is it ok for pilots to do things other than fly the plane while they’re working up front?
