Air India has had several rat incidents and recently a bat was found in business class.

Now an Air India Delhi – London flight had to be delayed as a swarm of ants were found in the business class cabin.
An Air India flight about to depart from Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGI) at 2pm on Monday delayed its take off by more than three hours after a swarm of ants was noticed in the business class.
After the issue was addressed, the AI-111 flight departed from the airport at 5.20pm, people familiar with the development said.
Ants were found in the business class section right before the flight was on the verge of taking off from the airport. Later, Air India changed the aircraft and substituted it with another Boeing 787-8.
London bound Air India (AI-111) flight aborted take-off at Delhi airport after swarm of ants found in business class. Prince of Bhutan was on board. Later Air India changed the aircraft.

The airline, which was on the verge of collapse before the pandemic, sometimes is just helping out its passengers when it cancels or severely delays a flight (because of this or this).

That might give the pest control industry a boost in sales, now knowing that bugs are sometimes making their presence felt on airplanes.
Real question s/b is did the ants come from the galley, or, the head?
The Indians should have kept the British.
Poor Prince! Why do countries still put up with the concept of royalty. It is so archaic. Boot them all out.
I almost forgot how terrible that ad is.
I just can’t figure this one part out – dude says he ALWAYS takes Air India, but he’s never actually been to India. How many 3rd country routes does AI have?
@Veejay – and have you ever *experienced* international-to-international connections in an Indian airport?
@FNT Delta Diamond. Yup, and the Brits would still be robbing India blind. Anyway, the Indians are showing the Brits how to run a thing or two. JLR, for example.
