- Do United’s Airfones still work?
- Peninsula Group is out managing Cathay Pacific lounges in Hong Kong. Cathay is taking over the lounges themselves in a transition that will run through Sunday.
The Wing, Hong Kong - London airport confiscates 4 gallons of breast milk because terrorism. The US doesn’t have a monopoly on stupidity.
- Several readers have told me they pocketed $500 for 2 minutes’ work in a deal I flagged some months ago.

Thanks to Gary I also received a check in the mail for $248!! Normally I ignore clickbait headlines like “make a quick $100” but never when they point to class action lawsuits. Living in socal has a few advantages and these weird recording class actions are definitely one of them. And next time I will know to sign up my wife!
I didn’t know that Cathay had “outsourced” those lounges to the Peninsula Group. FWIW, I’ve always thought those clubs were well-above average for airport lounges when it came to food and beverage (the cocktail menus are certainly interesting). Heck, it was a little like being in a hotel lounge! Maybe this was the reason. Hopefully, Cathay will be able to maintain the quality managing the lounges themselves.
Thanks Gary, got a check for $245.98 … how did others get $500?
