In January Virgin Atlantic was promoting ‘love suites’ in business class. There’s a long history of Virgin promoting inflight sex to promote their brand. Sir Richard Branson declared the mile high club ‘legitimized’ by the airline in 1999.
Business Insider reported that Virgin Atlantic’s inflight sex policy officially permits it and that it used to be that “couples returning from the lavatory were even greeted with champagne and cigarettes by grinning stewardesses on Virgin Atlantic flights, Palmer notes.”
It’s all a lie, and a video proves it.
On Tuesday’s Virgin Atlantic flight VS93 from London Gatwick to Cancun a woman got onboard, reportedly intoxicated, and met a pair of fellows in nearby seats. She kissed one of them, and then the pair headed for the lavatory.
Three flight attendants were banging on the door and interrupted the tryst, finding the man standing “with his trousers down and the woman sitting on the seat.”
Footage shows the man emerging from the toilet first and trying to argue that the woman had been taken ill.
But a flight attendant says in disbelief: “You’re not even travelling together. Why were you in there?”
Passengers clapped and jeered as crew escorted the pair back to separate seats.
Here’s video:
The plane’s captain radioed for law enforcement to meet the aircraft on arrival in Cancun. Officers took the newly minuted couple off the plane. So much for Sir Richard. Maybe he’ll stop lying about sex to sell his brands. Though that’s fairly unlikely.
Oddly this isn’t the first time in the past year where passengers who didn’t know each other prior to boarding had sex inflight. The other time though they didn’t even head for the lav, they just did it in their seats.

this is shoddy reporting. I need the woman’s name, address and preferrably phone number
What law was broken?
Maybe there’s only one oxygen mask in the lavatory?
@Beachfan
The law of common sense. The law of common decency. The law of common courtesy.
Why, “mile high club”? It’s more like 6 miles high club
