American Express Opening Centurion Lounge At Tokyo Haneda Airport

American Express will open a Centurion lounge at Tokyo Haneda airport. It will be on the fourth floor of terminal 3, and is slated to open next year. The lounge is be approximately 7,350 square feet with seating for 122 passengers.

Given the size of the lounge, focus of the announcement is on food and beverage offerings, although specific details are limited. There’s really not space for significant additional amenities.

This would be the first Centurion lounge in Japan. American Express touts 28 Centurion lounges, which includes their international lounges that have been rebranded as part of the Centurion network of airport spaces – such as Sydney, Melbourne, Mexico City et al. The closest one to the new Tokyo lounge is Hong Kong which opened as a Centurion lounge.

  1. Yes, Japanese lounges are not great. But with such limited seating, I’m guessing this Centurion lounge will be as overcrowded and terrible as the ones here.
