Chris Christie’s niece, Shannon Epstein, reportedly asked a family on board her Spirit Airlines flight home to New Jersey whether they were “smuggling cocaine” – because they appeared to be Hispanic.
She didn’t make it out of the New Orleans airport on Thanksgiving Day. Her flight was taxiing out when the pilot decided to return to the gate to have her removed from the aircraft. Officers met the plane and she… attacked them.
In the scuffle, she injured six deputies, biting one of the arm and breaking the skin, and kicking another in the groin, Rivarde said. They were treated there by paramedics.
She threatened the officers that they’d all be fired or wind up imprisoned themselves because her uncle is close to former President Trump. It’s not clear what Trump could do about it, unless the constitution were suspended, and in fact, Chris Christie was cast aside once Trump was elected because he had prosecuted Jared Kushner’s father a dozen years earlier. At best the former New Jersey governor might get tricked into doing a Cameo for her sentencing hearing.
Eventually seven officers handcuffed her to a wheelchair, while she “continued to shout vulgarities and try to bite deputies.” Epstein was charged with 6 “counts of battery on a police officer, three of disturbing the peace, one of resisting arrest by force and one of remaining after forbidden.” She was released on $10,750 bail later that day.
You’d think that her uncle could have put tickets on an airline other than Spirit on his American Express card?

Now why should the poor young girl have to be exposed to Hispanics as she innocently goes about her travel?

She also clearly understands that being an adjunct member of that right wing political milieu adept at undermining the core fabric of democracy and abusing political power, that she is absolutely entitled to stand apart from any legal accountability for her behaviour.
You have to respect her resolute attachment to her self entitlement – that girl fought hard – injured six officers in the cause of the righteousness path of political privilege. This is the Capital Hill Riot of airline travel.
Unfortunately, she also revealed the mental derangement that typifies the typical DRWA. The sort of hysteria so often encountered by the DRWAs on this very blog. Sadly, now recognised as a mental illness.
