I’m a Briggs & Riley fan, my usual carry on is their Baseline CX bag. They’ve made a splash over the past month with a new bag, and I’ve arranged a giveaway.
As I explained earlier today, I’ll have a different Briggs & Riley bag to give away next week as well (different bags for different reasons, they’ve “got your business and leisure covered” as it were).
The Briggs & Riley TORQ is a departure from just functional offering a stylish hard shell that I think looks great (although it’s extra-reinforced to prevent damage, so functional too).

This time we’re going to try something different. Instead of answering one question, I’m going to ask you to answer two to be eligible to win.

I do not have different bags for work and leisure since good luggage gets pricey! I do pack differently though for both types of trips.

I pretty much use the same bag for all seasons/missions. I do have different sizes of the same bag, and on a RARE occasion when either taking a very short trip, or flying spirit (yuck!) I will pack everything into a backpack.

2. Yes, I have 1 carry on and 1 check in, I generally limit work travel to the carry on and often find myself taking the check in for vacation (significant other always overpacks!)

2. My luggage for business trips are different from the ones I use for vacations. For business, a large case that allows me to pack suits and other more formal clothing is a must along with a carry on that has space for all of the technology toys needed to conduct business. For leisure, take almost any suitcase, throw in the clothes and let the fun begin!

Nope. I have one carry on I use for everything and a bigger one for longer trips. Since I ahve never traveled out of town for work, all my trips are vacations.

2) I do have different bags depending on purpose/length of trip. My wife gave me a wonderful over the shoulder leather bag that is perfect for 48 hour weekend getaways. I use a standard rollarboard during the week for work.

No seasonal bags for me. Work bag is a backpack in addition to my other regular bag.

Different bags for different seasons – no, not really. Although colder climates coming or going might require I take and check the bigger bag rather than the medium.
I don’t really travel for business, so no, I scheme only for length of the trip and the climates involved.
I use the same luggage nomatter what the season. I tend to wear almost the same clothes all year (well, I do lose the shorts in winter :), but a coat will normally be worn on the plane, and that’s the most variable piece for me.
I also don’t really do any business travel; not in the last 5-6 years anyway. I will take different luggage based on the length of the trip, tho.

I do have a bag for different missions. Mission 1 is to keep my bag in pristine condition and the items inside of it safe. Mission 2 is to pack as much as I can in a bag that I don’t care so much when it gets wrecked or if the contents end up disappearing courtesy of the kleptos at the airport.
