I’m a Briggs & Riley fan, my usual carry on is their Baseline CX bag. They’ve made a splash over the past month with a new bag, and I’ve arranged a giveaway.
As I explained last week, I have two different Briggs & Riley bags to give away (different bags for different reasons, they’ve “got your business and leisure covered” as it were).
Last week I gave away the hot new TORQ bag.
Of course Briggs & Riley is all about functional luggage, as much as I like the look of the new bags their bread and butter is the business market epitomized by their @work line.
Which of course comes with Briggs & Riley’s unrivaled lifetime guarantee.
Here’s how you can enter to win by commenting on this post. Given the strength of reputation for their guarantee, Answer the following question in the comments:
- Do you worry something is going to happen to your luggage?
Here are the rules:
- You need to answer the above question in your comment to this blog to be entered.
- You may enter up to once per day — and I give you a bit of slack in this, I won’t disqualify any entry as long as you don’t make more than one entry per calendar day or as long as no entry is closer than 24 hours together from another one. And if you’re close, we’re cool. I’m not looking to disqualify people, just to make sure there’s no massive ballot stuffing.
- All entries (comments) must be received no later than Thursday, June 13 at Noon Eastern time.
- I will draw a winner at random in the days following the close of the contest from those that meet these guidelines. Make sure you provide a valid e-mail address when entering to be eligible to win (you do not need to leave an email address in the comments, but along with your name where it asks for your email that email must be ‘real’ or I will have no way of contacting you).
- The winner acknowledges that this is a prize and is not for resale.
- I’m the final arbiter in all matters related to this contest and in all matters of interpretation. There is no appeal. I’m doing this because there’s an opportunity to send out a pretty cool high-end bag, and not taking anything in return, so please don’t give me a hard time in the process.
Any questions? E-mail me. And hopefully the winner will also follow up with me to let me know their impressions of the bag.

nope. dont worry much.
Yes, theft.
I actually do not worry. I travel quite often and have had delayed luggage on tight connections but overall I have had a good experience with my luggage.
I worry about my bag every time I check it.
Nothing to worry about, except a broken handle or wheel… which may happen anytime with my old carry-on
I have never lost sleep over it.
I constantly worry about my luggage. I’ve had too many things – valuable and not – stolen out of my bags through the years NOT to worry. Maybe I’m actually worried about airport security?
Yes! I’ve had at least 4 handles broken off of my checked luggage.
yes
I wonder if my bag is going to take a vacation without me and if the contents will all be there when we are reunited.
I don’t worry about my luggage much, but also do not spend a fortune on luggage.
Yes. Whenever possible I only bring a carry-on. If I have to check luggage- I worry.
I already carry B&R luggage, so I never worry if something is going to happen to it. I’d love another bag!
YES! I especially worry when i have segments on multiple airlines travelling to emerging market countries!
I always worry about the airport thieves, especially internationally.
Do you worry something is going to happen to your luggage?
For domestic, not really as it’s pretty easy to recover. For international, depends on the connection/time and code-share.
I try not to worry about my luggage when I check it.
Worry, not so much. But expect that from time to time things will go wrong – well, that’s just realistic.
I worry that the airlines will either misplace my bag or damage them.
Yes, because I’ve things happen to my luggage in the past.
Only worry about it getting lost. I know it is going to take a beating.
Oh yeah! I’ve had my cell phone stolen from my bag by airport employees after checking in and losing sight of my bag in the dark recesses of the airport.
of course I worry 🙂
yes. when my bag is not at the carousel, i start to wonder.
Yes, I sometimes worry on international flights that something will happen to my luggage.
I used to worry about the tsa rifling through my posessions but then I learned not to pack anything private or expensive. I would also love to learn more about this luggage by test driving it!
Yes, I worry someone is going to grab my luggage off the belt and run!
I only worry that it won’t be durable enough to withstand one more undeserved impact from a baggage handler. I’ve seen more than one handler throw bags as though he is reliving a recent fight with Muhammad Ali.
I’ve had 1 laptop that got cracked when i checked it at the gate in Lufthansa once, so i never check my 22″ from that time.
I only worry when I have to gate check my carry on
I just worry that they will force me to gate check my carryons, then I start to worry about my luggage!
No. I have never had lost luggage, but then haven’t flown very much either.
Only about it getting lost. I never got my bag back from the Heathrow fiasco at the end of ’05.
No worries here. I have Eagle Creek luggage with lifetime warranty.
I just worry about it getting ripped up on the rare occasions I check it.
Typically I don’t worry about my luggage, but i try to carry on.
I generally dont worry about the luggage as I always carry on.
I also don’t usually worry about my luggage. Apart from a few instances of bus / train travel abroad, I’m not usually concerned with carry ons or checked items.
As the Great Alfred E. Neuman once said….. ” What,Me Worry?
I am not really worried about carry-ons, but I worry every time I check a bag underneath. I have had a few destroyed already.
I don’t worry about my luggage because after it has been beat up a few times, what is another rip. I do get concerned sometimes when my luggage doesn’t arrive with me though.
Do you worry something is going to happen to your luggage?
Not really, I don’t put anything valuable in checked luggage. I’m more nervous about my wallet being stolen .
I worry that my checked luggage will lose a wheel or two. And for good reason.
Yes, whenever I check…but I just keep the important stuff with me.
I worry that my luggage will be lost
I don’t worry because I almost always do carry-on!
After traveling with my wife for 16 hours to Sydney, only to see our bags show up 36 hours later, I’m always worried something is going to happen! Always pack the essentials in your carry-on, just in case.
I worry when I see bags fall off the conveyor belt to the ground from airplane level.
After once watching my bag come down the conveyor belt…following by my shampoo, soap, razors, tweezers……….. Yes.
Of course I worry! I am a worrier to begin with, and entrusting my luggage to an airline when I must check a bag brings out the worrier! We have had multiple bags delayed but never lost completely. But it is something I consider every time I pack. Because our trips are typically 3 weeks to 3 months long, I check bags most of the time.
