Get 40% Bonus Transferring Chase Points To Virgin

Chase is running a 40% transfer bonus to Virgin Atlantic through end of next month.

Get 40% Bonus Virgin Atlantic Flying Club points when you transfer Ultimate Rewards points between 12:00 AM ET on October 15, 2024 and 11:59 PM ET on November 30, 2024.

It’s not the 150% transfer bonus from Bilt to Virgin that I took advantage of, but that was one day only and nobody but Bilt does 100%+ transfer bonuses. 40% for a Virgin transfer bonus is huge – 20% and 30% are far more common. (Virgin partners with the major transfer currencies, and bonuses are run often.)

Bear in mind though that after gutting awards on Delta and devaluing ANA business class awards up to 26% without notice, Virgin Atlantic plans to move to dynamic award pricing in just two weeks. You know it’s bad when the change is about to happen and they won’t give concrete details for what to expect.

ANA awards are still a value, though tough to book. Just make sure you have a strong sense of how you’ll use the points. I booked Hawaiian Airlines first class using Virgin miles for my August trip, for instance (effectively 16,000 Bilt points apiece for my 40,000 point one way Virgin redemption).

  1. This is a sort of gold mine for me, but I would have preferred that it was Amex points that could be moved over with such a bonus.

  2. Someone should notify Pete Buttigieg about the devaluation. It’s basically Delta driving it right?
