News and notes from around the interweb:
- Get in on a state match beta test with a company that consults with airlines on their status match programs, run by the former head of the Malaysia Airlines frequent flyer scheme.
- China’s ‘red tourism’ promoting the Communist Party is, ironically, big business
- Taking away $40,000 a month from workers and giving it to one hotel’s owner the shocking thing is this is legal, and happens all over the country.
- Qantas CEO pushing for re-start of Los Angeles and London flights
- A private jet flight attendant tell-all
- Rideshare making everyone unhappy it’s an incredible advance, yet higher-than-ever rates make consumers unhappy amidst a driver shortage and complaints about the fares they receive – yet the companies themselves lose money too.

Gary,
I’m not too sure about this one.
I rarely post, but having already signed up, after reading more about the “Company”/”Advertising Agency”, in hindsight this seems like a super bad idea for anyone who values their Privacy.
Those of us who’ve been around the block a bit all the way back since the days of what we used to call “butt-in-seat” miles and still forking massive currency into these programs while still pounding the jetways through Pandemics, are basically signing up to be put into one large Database for the Benefit of a marketing agency that promises to work for and on behalf of the Airline Industry, and which information is then going to be ripe for potentially being used to cross-match and identify us for who-knows-what?
