New and notes from around the interweb:
- @Ricardo_FFlyer shares that Air France KLM Flying Blue may no longer be willing to place partner awards on hold, but on the positive side he was successful booking a ‘mixed cabin’ award.Flying Blue used to make you sign a waiver if you wanted to book a coach seat domestically in the U.S. (or in Europe) in conjunction with a business class seat across the Pond. Sometimes that’s all that’s available. Then they stopped allowing mixed cabin travel altogether. It would be great if that’s back.
- The Taco Bell Resort in Palm Springs sold out reservations in two minutes but they could replicate the concept elsewhere.
- Lifemiles is offering a 115% transfer bonus which doesn’t excite Nick Reyes
- I’ve had some miserable hotel stays, but never this.
I’ve seen some miraculous stories in my Travel Grumps 101 Facebook group, but I think the guy that fell through the floor @LQ @WyndhamHotels last night takes the prize. pic.twitter.com/Wafdkc6Gmv

- Asiana goes double daily New York JFK – Seoul effective November 24 sadly no more first class but still nice for Star Alliance business class redemptions.
- The $2 billion lunacy of the LaGuardia Airtrain this isn’t the way to do transit to the airport.
That JFK-ICN flight connecting to ICN-SYD is a great way to get from the East Coast to Australia on an F award but how are the J seats out of JFK? Are they still Barcaloungers?
We were at a hotel in Cape Cod in a Motel there. We were young, so do not judge. They required a 50% deposit by check to make the reservation. When we got there in the room there was no refrigerator for injectable medication that cost $1500 a month out of pocket (it was a new type of drug). The place was dark and dirty. The bathroom floor was bouncy like a trampoline, due to the floor being wet so much. I got the hotel banned from the AAA guide for 4 years. (this was before the internet). It is still a dump to this day.
