Last Day to Get 50,000 Mile Signup Bonus for Lufthansa MasterCard?

Lufthansa Premier Miles & More World MasterCard®

The Miles & More website says that the 50,000 mile offer for the Lufthansa Premier Miles & More World MasterCard® expires today.

The limited-time offer is for up to 50,000 points — 20,000 after first purchase and 30,000 more after meeting minimum spend within 90 days.

The card comes with a $79 annual fee, and the points are exceptionally useful for domestic premium cabin awards on United (35,000 miles roundtrip) and for first class awards on Lufthansa and Swiss (much better availability than offered to Lufthansa’s frequent flyer partners like United).

The 50,000 mile offer is historically unusual, and I’ve heard much jealousy from European members of the Miles & More program.

  1. Gary, I think it’s worth at least noting in the blog posts on this and other Barclays cards, that contrary to the conventional wisdom, we’re learning that these are not cards for churners. It seems if a live person looks at your app (which seems to happen generally on your third Barclays app) and sees a bunch of new accounts opened, they know what’s up and won’t approve the card.

Just feel like this caveat is important as in the past you and others have always touted Barclays as great due to it being “an alternative from Chase et al” and cards are “generally churnable,” when the recent attention being given to Barcap cards has proven at least one of those statements is not valid.

  2. BLOGGERS GOING CRAZY WITH BAD PRODUCT

YOU DONT GET IT IF U HAVE MANY INQUIRIES,

YOU GET ANOTHER HARD PULL IF YOU CALL RECON LIKE FOR RECON.

  3. Barclays has started pulling from all three, I applied and got it, wife applied and didn’t . So total of 6 pulls one card. Not a good deal

  4. Gary – FYI – your daily posts consistently hit my mailbox at 11:40 pm EDT. If it contains time sensitive info, I don’t get it on the day you intended and can miss the deal. Sigh. I note that your posts are timed around 3 am. It is only the emails that are a timing issue.

BTW – I received an instant approval for the M & M World MC with a pretty hefty credit limit. My husband was pushed to the Platinum MC with a lousy limit. For those that don’t believe you have to watch what you do with hard inquiries, my husband is a good example. It caused a major household meltdown when I found out that he recently got a Target and a SW card without my knowledge. I guess he will be sitting by himself in coach….
