Man Falls Through Ceiling Of Tampa Airport, Lands At Baggage Claim

Delta Air Lines and Alaska Airlines commit to deliver checked bags in 20 minutes. If I’m flying United, American, or Southwest I know it’s going to take awhile, and I don’t hurry to baggage claim.

The fastest way down to baggage claim, though, if you’re in a hurry is to go through the ceiling. At least that’s what one man discovered at the Tampa airport, according to a Tampa-based traveler. He “fell through the ceiling and landed in [Southwest Airlines] baggage claim” on Monday evening, as reported by a tweet from a passenger who says they witnessed the event.

On Southwest bags fly free, but they say ‘free, good, or fast’ you can only have two. Here the man falling through the ceiling landed at Southwest Airlines baggage claim. His trip was free and fast, but clearly not good.

  1. ROTFL!!!! Gary, I swear!!! Lol Where do you find these things…seriously…Hey at least that one piece of the Southwest journey wasn’t delayed…lol!!

  2. Lawsuit time, except that it’s hard to sue the government in florida. More likely they’d arrest him for accessing areas that weren’t authorized.

  3. The man was quoted as saying Ho, Ho, Ho before disappearing with the aid of some small accomplices and some deer

come on everyone knows Santa lives in Florida off season

  4. No need to fall through the floor on to the baggage area at MLA airport. My wife and I fly out and back to Malta at least three times a year. NEVER have we been able to reach baggage claim before all our bags have arrived. Up to three bags each. We even tried running to baggage claim once to beat the bags. But we never do. Perhaps the most amazing thing I have ever witnessed, except for the birth of my kids.
