- First it was supposed to be an Intercontinental, then a Hilton, now the Atlanta airport on-property hotel project is off
- Emirates spending $2 billion in passenger enhancements most of the cost of actual new expense is premium economy seats, though. I’m happy as long as they keep serving Château d’Yquem in first.
- New air traffic control game inside the United Airlines mobile app You may recognize the “Flight Control” game that was available for Apple devices in the past. It’s back and on Android too.
- “French police shoot dead man armed with knife at Paris airport” did they shoot a dead man, or did they shoot the man dead?
Yes, but given the problem with tasting in depressurized environments, are you drinking the wine or the label? Could you tell the difference between high-grade Sauternes in a blind test?
Maybe someone needs to do a blind wine tasting in-flight…
Wow, that’s some serious dessert wine. Interestingly a small glass is also very good with foie gras, the real stuff.
Our Emirates 1st flight in May MXP – JFK had some South African dessert wine subbed for the Y’Quem. It was disappointing. Alas! (Really not the world’s worst problem, I know, but since it was a splurge for us, it was a shame to miss the Y’Quem.)
