One passenger. Two flights. Three crimes. Of Course He Stole Sandwiches In The Airport.

News and notes from around the interweb:

  • One passenger. Two flights. Three crimes.

Artur Grigoryan, 33, was arrested by police around 5:30 a.m. on Tuesday when he refused to wear a mask onboard, delaying the flight as he was removed, according to arresting documents obtained by WKRN.

Officers had responded to a call for Grigoryan the night before on a Spirit Airlines flight , where he had also refused to wear a mask and called crew members “vulgar” names.

According to police, Grigoryan was caught stealing sandwiches and a soda from the airport’s Green Bean Coffee Shop. The shop owner chose not to prosecute him, WKRN reported.

  1. @ Gary — OMG, we stayed at the IC Amstel more than once when the minibar was free to RAs, and I do not recall a 2000 euro bottle of anything. We would definitely have asked for a refill on that item 🙂

I completely don’t understand the 787 thing. Can you explain?

  2. i’m convinced some Intercon properties provide a different mini bar set up for RA’s, particularly back in the day pre the $50 daily/$200 stay max.

on some stays at Montreal, for example, ive had a staff member provide a commercial size bag of potato crisps, and a few bottles of red.

Travel Advisory…..Boston has used Covid as an excuse to not provide mini bars, and the lounge has been under renovation for a protracted time frame. explained away as due to renovation.

  3. The minibars at the Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas also include ladies’ “pleasure packs.” On one stay I simply turned the box around because I did not feel like looking at the image the whole stay. Sure enough a few hours later a lady arrived to replenish the item from my minibar.

  4. The 787 thing is airline saying you get more legroom because the seat in front of you doesn’t have any of the hardware necessary to manage the seat back screen.
