Meghan Markle Eschews British Airways, Flies Air Canada to Toronto
Meghan Markle flew to Toronto on Air Canada — not British Airways.
The Duchess of Sussex lived in Toronto when she filmed the USA television series Suits. There’s no comment on her choice of airlines, but her brother in law has been known to fly Ryanair over British Airways.
Male Model Slipped While Boarding. Now He’s Suing Lufthansa for $8 Million.
A male model is suing Lufthansa for $8 million because he fell down because of “wet and oily residue” while boarding a London – Munich flight in 2012.

TSA screeners steal from passengers at checkpoints. Baggage handlers steal from checked bags. oneworld’s head of finance allegedly stole $2.2 million. And a former Miss USA stole noise cancelling headphones. So why not passengers stealing from each others’ carry on bags?
Marriott-Starwood Merger Day: Quit Gnashing Teeth
Marriott’s new loyalty program has launched, but as of this writing they’re still working through the IT. They told us to expect things to be down throughout Saturday. If things work on Sunday I’ll be impressed.
Compared to what might have happened I still think that the new Marriott program is about the best we could possibly have hoped for or expected. It’s stapling some version of the Starwood elite program onto some version of the Marriott redemption program (‘the best of both worlds’) along with some devaluation of each.

Chase points are one of my favorite currencies, and their transfer partner Korean Air SkyPass is one of my favorite frequent flyer programs.
Chase points will only transfer to Korean through August 24. So I have to decide how many points I want to transfer before the clock strikes midnight and I turn into a pumpkin.
