News and notes from around the interweb:
- Warning don’t use your SkyMiles Amex to pay for upgraded beverages at the Delta One lounge JFK it doesn’t code as a restaurant, and also sends a Resy solicitation for feedback but doesn’t code as a Resy restaurant either.
I'd also note the restaurant doesn't code as such when using Amex. And, despite receiving a Resy solicitation for feedback, it doesn't code as Resy, either. So don't use your SkyMiles Amex card to pay. @xJonNYC

- 70% bonus on transferring Chase points to IHG One Rewards in April. This is a poor use of points. Don’t transfer points to IHG. An IHG point is worth about half a cent. They’ll often sell it for that, even. If you want to book IHG properties and do it with transferable points, see if the property is available as a book direct/loyalty eliigble reservation through the card’s portal and you’ll likely do much better. Or pay cash and use your points somewhere else.
- 30% bonus on transferring Capital One points to Japan Airlines in April. Normally the transfer ratio is 4:3 (1000 Capital One -> 750 Japan Airlines). This makes it almost 1:1 (1000 -> 975). That’s actually pretty good considering you get better award space on JAL premium cabin redemptions, lower fuel surcharges on BA, and better pricing on Emirates business class. But beware because points expire after 36 months (activity in your account does not extend this). So not a place to store value.
- 20% bonus on transferring Chase points to Air Canada Aeroplan in April, stackable with the Aeroplan cardmember bonus for transfers if you have that product. Aeroplan is a better redemption program than United’s MileagePlus, and they have the most redemption partners of any airline.
- Double GHA Discovery Dollars in April and May at eligible hotels in North America and Europe, you must make your bookings during this period too (my existing reservations for April and May won’t count unless I cancel and rebook).
- New American Airlines lounge food items they really need better naming conventions than ‘Rundown shrimp” – I’m not sure if that’s better or worse than the Angry Pasta.

Who is paying for “upgraded beverages at the Delta One lounge JFK”? Friends, there’s ample decent options already included. How wasteful do you need to be? *facepalm*
