The Palacio Duhau – Park Hyatt Buenos Aires is a great city hotel, set in an upscale neighbor apart from the hustle and bustle of the city and just a few blocks from the Four Seasons. There are two separate buildings, connected via underground walkway or outside through the garden. There’s the original Palacio and there’s a new tower. I’ve really enjoyed staying there.
The hotel itself is stunning, modern and minimalist for the bulk of the property and yet it blends well with its exterior and palace heritage. In a way it’s a Park Hyatt the way that I’ve come to expect throughout the Asia Pacific, it’s an oasis in a city like Buenos Aires
Service at the hotel in general was outstanding. The front desk staff were extremely friendly.
And I’m giving away a stay at this Park Hyatt to a reader — read on! I’m helping to give away 2 nights here inclusive of breakfast.
- Enjoy a 2-night stay for 2 guests in a Park Deluxe King Room at the five-star Palacio Duhau – Park Hyatt Buenos Aires located in the heart of the French heritage district of Recoleta, including daily breakfast at Gioia Restaurant & Terraces plus full access to Ahin Wellness & Spa, valued at approximately $1,500 USD / £1,160 GBP
This is a very special giveaway, thanks to my good friends at Luxury Travel Diary. Regular readers know them as a high-end travel blog with great reviews. They’re based in the UK and run travel auctions with real bargains.
As I’ve said before, folks who already know about these auctions don’t like this added attention, because there don’t seem to be enough bidders for many of their best offerings relative to the value available. Some of their items go way too cheap.
- Here are their auctions.
- And here are the auctions ending soon which are probably the best to check out right now – to get an idea of just how good a deal you’re likely to get.
Seriously, these deals about to end are insane - Check out 5 nights in Dubai, 2 nights glamping at a Scottish Castle, 3 nights in a villa for 8 in Jamaica or 5 nights in Tokyo. Nice places for a fraction of what you should be paying.
Other hand-picked auctions to check out– 3 Nights At The Andaz Peninsula Papagayo Resort, Costa Rica which I absolutely loved earlier this year and in my opinion the perfect stay length, and 4-Nights on a Half Board Basis at the IHG InterContinental Mauritius Resort Balaclava Fort.
This prize is being given away by the hotel and Luxury Travel Diary, I’m just helping to highlight it and randomly select the winner.
To enter: leave a comment on this post with your favorite item up for auction at Luxury Travel Diary, or why you would choose to stay at Palacio Duhau – Park Hyatt Buenos Aires. You may enter two times if you wish and answer those two questions one time each in separate comments.
Contest deadline and drawing winner: Entries close Saturday, September 9 at Noon eastern. I will draw winner with the assistance of random.org.
The fine print: Advance booking is required and it’s subject to availability. Terms and conditions apply. Winner will have one week to respond to email notifying of the prize, otherwise the prize will be forfeit and made available to another reader.
For avoidance of doubt, I have no affiliation with Luxury Travel Diary or Palacio Duhau – Park Hyatt Buenos Aires. I am not getting anything in exchange for running this giveaway other than an opportunity to share the place with readers.
The hotel is solely responsible for providing prize to winner. All decisions made in the course of running this giveaway are final and unappealable and your entry signifies your acceptance. The goal here is to make readers aware of a pretty cool auction opportunity, and to give away a stay. So please don’t make it hard on me for doing so!
I would love to take my wife to Argentina! Have never been.
Nights at the Diamonds Athuruga in the Maldives sounds great.
my favorite item up for auction is the 3-night celebrity chef cookery course in France!
I would want to stay at the Park Hyatt in Buenos Aires because we stayed there last Christmas and had the best time, but we have so much more to explore in BA. The pool, garden, cigar bar, everything at the hotel is great. And I can always go for more dulce de leche!
HI Gary, I had an amazing stay at the PH Buenos Aires and wrote about it. I’d love to win the nights at the Park Hyatt to gift to my friends who winter in BsAs. They helped me so much while I was there, and this would be an amazing way to thank them! http://travelwithgrant.boardingarea.com/2017/03/21/my-amazing-experience-interacting-with-the-park-hyatt-butler-service-team-shelli/
It would be nice to visit Argentina for the first time.
I would stay at this hotel for the incredible luxury and the free amazing breakfast as a Hyatt Globalist (now available to anyone with the Hyatt cc for 1/3 the effort I had to do).
The auction item I like is the 2 nights at the Pangea Pod Hotel in Whistler Canada!
I love the auction for 2 nights at the hotel closest to Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe. It’s been a childhood dream to see the the Falls.. and to be so close to it!
Would stay there, because I’ve done it once, and can’t wait to get back!
I would love to stay in the Park Hyatt Buenos Aires. I’ve enjoyed all my time traveling in Latin America, but I’ve never been that far south before, and this would be the perfect opportunity to see a great city.
Can’t get enough of Argentinian wine! Would love to go back to Buenos Aires !
Andaz Papagayo!
I really like the auction at the Ilala Hotel near Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe. That’s a trip I really want to take at some point.
I would love to go to Buenos Aires. And the Park Hyatt sounds fabulous..
Everywhere I turn I hear how elegant Hyatt properties are. I’d love to win this giveaway because my husband, who does NOT like to travel, has stated that the one place he’d like to go is Argentina. It would be a dream come true for me to take him there.
My wife and I will be in Buenos Aires for the first — maybe only — time in January, having just disembarked an Antarctica cruise. After 24 days of adventure and cold, they joy of being in quiet luxury would be the perfect way to finish our journey, and the perfect base from which to explore this sophisticated/bohemian city, the street art that beats most museums,, the graveyard village patrolled by cats, the mystery of a closed-door restaurant (a master chef cooking in his/her own home), plus the kick-ass Argentinian beef, crazy futbol fans, sublime (I’m told) ice cream, and dance clubs that make Ibiza look tame. What a gift it would be to be able to stay there for free. Thanks for offering it 🙂
I’d love to enjoy some nice steak and shopping in Buenos Aires.
I like the Conrad Istanbul auction option.
My favorite auction — and the one I am going to bid on — is, “2 All-Inclusive Nights At Diamonds Athuruga In The Maldives,” not just because it is luxury in the bucket-listed Maldives, but specifically because it is in South Ari Atol, home to one of the highest concentrations of Manta Rays in the world. I’ve had the joy of diving in several places, but I keep missing the mantas. The chance to glide in the water, with — as one friend described them — “a cross between the submarine in ‘Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea’ and a herd of underwater flying pussycats,” is so exciting that I can feel my breath get shallow just thinking about it. Thanks again for the giveaway, and for the fun of contemplating what might happen.
Never been to Buenos Aires, … this might be the nudge I was needing.
I’d make my stay in the Palacio Duhau our first ever in South America.
A stay on a first-ever visit to a new continent in a Park Hyatt? Yes, please!
One great reason is a family reunion in a beautiful hotel that starts with my last name.
We have friends living in Costa Rica, so following our stay in Paris at the Park Hyatt next month, the next will be Papagayo, unless….
Pineapple House, because Montego Bay is beautiful.
Park Hyatt Buenos Aires, because the Recoleta district makes you feel like you are saying in Europe, but with Argentina-like hospitality.
I definitely need to have a meal at Burger & Lobster in Leicester Square, because, to put it simply, a burger OR a lobster is just not enough. One always leaves you craving the other, wanting more, and rarely does one place serve both.
I would stay at the park hyatt because it is always an amazing place to experience the culture and vibe of a city and the luxury and treatment I receive there is almost always perfect.
The Maldives auction looks great! I’d love to visit Argentina to do some dancing!
My favourite auction item is definitely the four nights at the intercontinental in Mauritius—a dream!
I’d stay in the Park Hyatt in Buenos Aires if I had the chance because I’ve *never* stayed in a Park Hyatt (or any luxury hotel for that matter…) and it would give me a perfect excuse to finally do my South America trip!!!
Andaz Papagayo!
Never been to Argentina
We love Park Hyatts and we love to travel, and have only been to South America once. Sounds like a great time!
The auction I’d like to win is 5 nights at Jannah Burj Al Sarab, Abu Dhabi, UAE. Been to UAE once and had a great time!
In competition with my friend to get to more countries in the next 5 years… This would help!
The Palacio Duhau – Park Hyatt Buenos Aires, I’ve heard great things about it and it would be a great chance for me to visit Argentina for the first time.
Sofitel Bali Nusa Dua Beach Resort, Bali, a romantic getaway is long needed
I would love to go to BA as I’m considering property in Argentina.
The Conrad in Istanbul (on LTD) looks GREAT (and a ‘bargain’) if the price doesn’t get to high. Something I definitely like!
I’ve seen the Buenos Aires Park Hyatt – from the outside! It looks like a real luxury treat. Agreed that the location is great too.
Thanks for highlighting the luxurytraveldiary site. Some great travel ideas there worth keeping an eye on. 2 nights at the Grand Hyatt, Mumbai looks interesting.
5 nights in dubai!
steak dinner in BA!
Favorite item for auction on Luxury Travel Diary has to be the 2 Nights At Viceroy Bali Luxury Villas In Ubud, Indonesia!
Andaz Papagayo looks nice!
Visit Argentina for the 1st time!
Magical 4-Day Norwegian Reindeer & Northern Lights Experience For One
