- Austin’s airport has to renumber runway 17L/35R because magnetic north has moved. It will become 18L/36R.
- Travel Data Daily thinks positive marketing is key for bringing back travel, and criticizes the focus on safety and hygiene. I disagree, I think the causality goes differently here, when you start seeing positive advertising you know we’re more or less past where customers are primarily concerned about safety.

As San Francisco Airport now has 40% softer passenger boarding gate announcements, do the homeless people at SFO get 40% better on-the-floor overnight sleep?
SFO is my main hub, I guess they’ve got nothing better to do there….As a person that is neither white nor black, that lady in the video needs to be booted off that plane asap. So tired of seeing these videos where people use racism to justify their bad behavior.
SFO announcers all have one thing in common – English is not their native language. They are selected in a nondiscriminatory way no requirement to speak English. You’d be a better chance of understanding if they were speaking in their native Cantonese, Mandarin, Tagalog or Indian dialect.
SFO is my home airport and I am all for this. Most gate announcements aren’t very useful anyway, and hopefully the lower noise levels will make it a little more tranquil.
I hope Spirit kicked off Queen Attitude Entitled Pottymouth. If everyone on plane is required to wear a mask and she decided the rules were not for her she should be banned from ever flying with them (and other airlines) again.
