She Says American Airlines Denied Her A First Class Meal Because She’s Black—But One Overlooked Fact Explains Everything

An American Airlines first class passenger was the only one not to get a meal on their flight, and she’s taken to social media saying it’s because she’s Black.

The influencer believes that she was singled out for her race. This does not make sense to me. She did not pre-order her meal (which any passenger can do until 24 hours prior to their flight) and she was seated in the last row. That put her last on the list to make a meal selection.

  • She wasn’t in the last row because of her race.
  • There was a catering issue. If they ran out of meals as she says, then the flight was under-provisioned. That’s was done by the caterer, not knowing who’d be shorted a meal – so also not a race issue.
  • Where she’s sitting, rather than what she looked like, is clearly why she wound up without a meal.

The passenger complains that she wasn’t offered anything in lieu of the meal (like ‘chips’). That’s fair – but flights under 1,300 miles don’t have food for sale in economy on American Airlines. I imagine that the flight attendant could have been more empathetic and apologetic, but there wouldn’t have been coach meals or snacks to offer.

1,300-mile flights and longer may have cheese plates for sale in back, with usually only around 4 loaded

Here question of ‘how could this happen’ that American runs out of meals, when they know how many first class seats there are, is a reasonable one! It doesn’t usually happen, but catering is done quickly, and sometimes carelessly. And it happens enough that flight attendants have gotten a memo reminding them to apologize (but not to delay the flight to fix it). A year ago Chicago and Philadelphia flights were frequently having catering issues.

I had one reader ask about the person next to her clearly eating. Assuming that the flight was literally short a meal (rather than being short what the woman making the video wanted) then it’s possible her seatmate had pre-ordered, or just ordered before her when the flight attendant came to their row for meal selection.

There may not have been enough meals (miscatered flight). It’s possible that the flight attendant working the front cabin of this 737 dropped a meal in the galley. There are any number of things that could have happened that are more plausible and more benign than ‘what she looked like’ as the reason for not getting a meal.

My American Airlines first class meal on Thursday

I don’t think I’m known for giving American Airlines a pass on issues. I’d just want more facts in evidence here before suggesting race was a factor, when the balance of probabilities likely leans in a different direction.

If the woman was seated in the first or second row and was the only one refused a meal, then we might have something to at least delve further into.

  1. Learned my lesson witht that. I always pre order, so I don’t have to deal with not getting what I want to eat.

  2. Yeah I’m quite sure it’s not a race thing. It’s still worth her putting up a big fuss though — it’s first class! Running out of food is pretty ridiculous.

  3. I believe this was the same person who harassed a Delta flight awhile back. Another in a long line of serial race-baiters

  4. No excuse for a first class pax not getting a meal. There should always be at least one more than what is expected. But…the bean counters.

  5. Every POC in structurally racist white privileged America read the headline of this post and immediately thought “yeah something like this definitely could have happened, and white people are confused and/or completely oblivious to the idea that something like this could happen.”

AA’s incompetence and customer unfriendliness are secondary here.

Black, Brown, Asian and other marginalized communities in American life routinely face instances of discrimination that white people play off as (0) “one overlooked fact explains everything”, (1) that is not possible, (2) that didn’t happen, (3) there is an innocent explanation, or all kinds of aggravating excuses. The woman in this incident was discriminated against, plain and simple.

Dollars to donuts had this been a White man in the seat, AA flight attendants–who are generally nowhere near as bad as frontline AA staff on the ground–would have apologized profusely and said a catering mixup meant there isn’t any meal, but would you like more mixed nuts? Another drink? Anything else I can do to make your flight more comfortable? Please accept our sincere apologies and 10,000 AA points are on your way into your account.

Black women, like other POCs, get the silent treatment and that’s discrimination and I will not hear it any other way.

  6. @Miguel95 My thoughts exactly. No AA doesn’t deny black people meals in first. She’s just an uneducated moron looking for clicks and maybe a few bucks. Black fatigue again.

I guess the white flight attendant on my MIA/PIT flight didn’t do pre departure beverages because we were all white.

  7. I had the exact same thing happen behind me on a flight DXB DFW on EK. We were in the 2nd to last row of the 2 seats on the 777LR. We were literally the only white people on the plane.

I heard the FA say “we are out of chicken” a few rows up. When they got to the black couple in the very last row, they started with the whole “you ran out on purpose because I’m black” bit. They even tried to get me to sympathize with them.
They called the EK flight attendants “racists” lol.
It would be funny if it weren’t so sad.

  8. She was on flight 1074, per her screenshot. American serves food and drinks FEBO: from the front on even-numbered flights and from the back on odd-numbered ones. Frequent fliers know this, and know it is risky to be at the opposite end from the starting point. They *always* run out of things. Preordering is important. Also – to “Un”: The flight attendant has no more power to magically woosh 10,000 miles into your account than your seat mate does.

  9. Actually what probably happened is the crew meals were not loaded and the pilots threw a fit and they had to feed pilots.

On a recent flight I gave up my meal as I over heard pilots telling FA they will have to figure out who they wanted to piss off.

AA keeps making catering mistakes but pilots also don’t care about passengers

  10. Ridiculous running out of meals in first class. Probably someone got upgraded and got her meal. Maybe she will have to preorder meals in the future. American Airlines owes her some points.

One of the best reasons for sitting in the middle of the cabin in coach on an Asian airline is that there is usually a choice of meals no matter if service is started from the front or from the back.

  11. I’m white as a ghost and they didn’t have my requested meal ordered in advance
They said have some cheese for dinner 🙁
Can I sue? Got seconds on nuts and sucked it up (sigh)

  12. Put that in the reparations bill. Chances are her server was likely a person of color. Big time black fatigue. Now go call Crump and Sharpton.

  13. I genuinely normally enjoy your views. This will be my last read for obvious reasons. Stick to flight tips. I don’t speak on issues impacting men that I NEVER will experience. Others should learn to do the same. Tip..a simply treating this as a “How to Ensure you get your in-flight meal” would’ve been better.

  14. @jill service manual changed this year… it is always front to back now for preferences. It’s this was clt or phl, they are commisary stations. That means the catering is handled by union AA rampers as opposed to contractors like LSG, gate gourmet etc. They have no consequences for messing anything up. This holdover was negotiated during the us airways merger. For example, they don’t have to print basic paperwork showing what is in the cart… that is considered extra work not outlined in their contract.

  15. This is my favorite post ever!

    Miguel95 says:
    May 16, 2025 at 1:01 pm
Darling, your money is on the dresser.

  16. They almost certainly gave the pilots their crew meals at the expense of actual passengers, AA continues to be a dumpster fire.

  17. As soon as I saw the word influencer I knew this was fake, no matter the race or the airline
    Useless parasites

  18. I am white, but grayed haired old lady and was in the last row and pre ordered my meal on the fc flight I paid for (not an upgrade) and I too did not get my meal. The gave it to someone in front that had not ordered a meal. Oh well, such is life. I guess I forgot I was suppossed to throw a fit and post on social media. Truly, I wasn’t at risk of death for not getting a meal that I pre ordered.

  19. Fighting over not receiving an airplane meal on a short domestic flight is more symbolic than functional. Even in First Class, the meals on short flight segments generally are not life-and-death issues. Running out of wine however…That would be something to protest!

  20. Now @Gary I know you’ve flown American long enough to know that sometimes they take meal orders back to front in first class. I don’t think race was any consideration but shame on the caterer and/or American for not realizing they were short a meal.

  21. And this is why “discrimination” persists–it’s one of these things that you will find if you look hard enough, regardless of whether it really exists. And the people on the receiving end of the false accusations tend to harbor resentments over it.

  22. There’s absolutely no excuse of any kind for running out of meals in the First Class cabin, FFS they should always have a few extras, seems to me like the real problem is that AA ran out a more valuable commodity….COMMON SENSE.

  23. @Un

    Nobody cares anymore.
You people bring it on yourselves and stop trying to bring other races into it. You (the blacks) are the only ones who always seem to have the problems.

    The fatigue is real.

  24. Airlines screw up. That’s more common than it should be. Most of the time, flight sttendants will ask higher loyalty program fliers first about meal choices, but that’s not guaranteed. If the airline ran out of first class meals, compensation should have been provided. There may be an excuse in not having the choice of mral available, but tyere really is no excuse for not having a sufficient number of meals.

  25. more race baiting ambulance chasing. if you bought your ticket five days in advance
you certainly should have known to order your choice of meals up to 24 hrs prior to departure.

  26. If an AA FA had offered an apology, some free snacks or possibly a meal voucher upon arrival, and some FF miles, then all of us could have avoided reading this article. This should just be corporate policy no matter what the last customer seated in the cabin looks like.

  27. This happened to me today. I was in the last row and was told they ran out. Im not mad or upset, but then again I don’t look forward to eating AA domestic first class meals anyway.

  28. Lots of excuses but no valid reason. The money AA saved on short catering this flight short [she made the reservation several days in advance so was not a last minute addition] is wiped out by the bad PR on this experience. There was no service recovery on the flight but perhaps only in retrospect. The FAs must have or should have noticed the short catering and handled it by the means other than getting to h er row and not serving her in any relevant way.

That’s the passenger is an “infuencer” is irrelevant: She didn’t receive the service for which she had paid and has every right to go public.

  29. That’s it. I’m never gonna fly on AA again! I’m going to make a video and tell EVERYBODY how bad they cheated me. I’m going to post a lot of pictures of myself too!!

No, not really. I’m a grown-up. I understand things can happen unexpectedly. I would forget something like this before the plane lands.

  30. If you are white you will never understand so why comment and proudly show off your racism.

  31. The airline messed up those on here running their mouth about her weight or making excuses for airline are missing the point. If you pay for a service you get that service! Refund her money I’m sure she was charged for said meal and do to the inconvenience of not getting it the whole flight cost should be refunded.

  32. Sorry to point out a correction this late to the story, but I believe the correct spelling is Influenza.

  33. @ Gary — AA meals are generally disgusting and very unhealthy. Skipping them may be the best option.

  34. AA’s not going to stop under provisioning unless it makes them look bad so I say let the race baiting continue, maybe they’ll actually do something if it makes them look bad enough.

  35. I sometimes read this blog, but after scrolling these comments, I hear a lot of “I really want to say the N word!” people. Very icky. I didn’t realize this was a FOTUS cult. I can’t relate to a bunch of smug white dudes born on third base and thinking they hit a triple.

  36. Engagement-bait, all-around, original post, Gary’s, etc.

@Coffee Please — Reparations?! So, we thinkin’ 10K miles, 40 acres, AND a mule? Seems fair… *wink*

  37. 92% is 100% on point.

Gary if you get more clicks when you slight people due to race or gender then you should question the integrity of your readers. Please don’t pander to their base instincts.

We may not like to hear what Un had to say, but sorrowfully the words are spot on.

  38. “The FAs must have or should have noticed the short catering and handled it by the means other than getting to her row and not serving her in any relevant way.” — Remember, this is AA. Is anybody actually surprised?

  39. This whole article must be a joke. And the comments, just as much. The front of the plane is different than where I sit in the back. Way different. For that price or loyalty, those people earned the right to have certain services provided.

    This report is nonsense.

  40. Always pre-order! My wife & I pre-ordered on UA once. Catering forgot to load our selection but we were the first ones to be asked “What would you like?”

  41. Knew before looking, it was a white dude writing the article. Does that make me racist?

We are overlooking the real issues here. Look at how many people accept poor service as if it is OK. And in First Class no less.

Dang! They sure have y’all trained well.

Chief Writey Whitey (prolly AI MF programming) writes the article pitting us all against each other.

Distracting us while they (AA, our politicians and billionaires) take our hard earned money for themselves and leave us all scraps to fight over. And after reading all these comments, I’d say deservedly so!

AND y’all are dumb enough to pay extra for it!

  42. Just as she did not state data on her assumptions you have not stated any real data on yours. So your devils advocate is just as flawed. Yet, the galore is throwing assumptions of her being in the back of the plane or the last to book a ticket? Besides her color why not just assume she is telling the truth first row last row. I have traveled multiple times although my 50 so years and Never had a problem , yet I see so many , your judgement is valid but unlike the reporter save your responses for after the evidence is all, I mean all presented.

  43. Reading these posts really confirms that we have a lot of racist white people in this country. @Gary, I am quite sure you do not understand how racism works. Maybe try talking to a black friend for a better perspective

  44. All a flight attendant had to do was get on the intercom and say “will anyone trade their meal for some snacks so this b1tch won’t pull that worn out overplayed race card” I’m sure someone would have volunteered. It’s called problem solving.

  45. @Jill is that true? I had a broken seat on a United flight and I barely even complained about it (it was the footrest on a longhaul in J) and the flight attendant promptly showed up with a little card and explained she was very sorry and I would get points into my account (can’t remember how much, it was a few years ago). Seemed like it was up to her. Or the purser I suppose.

  46. It must be exhausting going through life constantly blaming race for every small problem you run into.

  47. @miguel95 I read this as an indictment of the author shilling unnecessary excuses for AA
    @92% Well said.

  48. The airline may have a legitimate reason for coming up short on meals. However, whatever their reason, it does not excuse a complete lack of communication or apology on the matter.

  49. The idea of boarding “a few extra meals on every flight” is absurd. They certainly should board the correct amount, but with 4000 flights per day, 365 days per year this is a ridiculous band aid solution to the issue. The cost would be staggering.

  50. I hope her crappy attitude also meant that she didn’t get comped any miles for the inconvenience either.

  51. Anytime anything is posted by or attributed to an ‘influencer’ my credibility gadget drops to near zero on its bs meter. It’s all about clicks, not reality.

  52. Always a “look at me” issue. It’s always a 13-14 percent chance that someone will have their feelings hurt enough to make everyone else have to hear about it.

  53. The real shame was that the yacht with 30 “influencers” (of all races, genders, background) that sank a few weeks ago in Miami Beach didn’t result in a recovery operation rather than a rescue situation. The world would be a better place without “influencers”.

  54. Just another mad angry black woman doing what they do best and wanting the world to bow to them and kiss their a** GTFO. BTW when I see the word “influencer” their credibility goes to zero with me.

  55. Tim Done wins the comment of the day. We collectively bow to your sick humor 🙂

  56. There is no excuse for running out of food when the cost of the flight includes it, especially in first class! I would be very upset too. The passenger should get plenty of miles from the airline to make up for it. It’s the airlines job to count passengers and the catering company must get it right. If they can not do these and would not have much confidence in the airlines ability to comply with safety rules either…

  57. When does the fishing season for elusive circumstances where one can pull out the race card end?!? It’s been open season for well over a decade now. You will find what you seek in life, even if in reality it isn’t there. Bias is funny that way.

  58. This is a 1½-sided article: the pax perspective, the columnist’s opinions, but nothing from AA. Until then, everyone sit down.

  59. My bet would be on a catering or dropped meal screw up. Also, all we have is her claim that there was no apology from an FA. Since that latter claim makes the story better for the influencer’s basic theme (didn’t get a meal or apology because I’m black) I’m unconvinced the cabin crew didn’t serve her and didn’t apologize.

  60. Influencer…that says a lot. She hiked those fake puppies up high enough and her fly swatter fake eyelashes make her look like a…wh… er “lady of the evening”. If she slept too close to a wall heater, she’d wake up with a pair of moulded ashtrays. ME…ME…ME. The airline made a mistake. Granted, the flight attendants could have come up with something but, then again, it’s American Airlines. What do you expect?

  61. The airline employs the caterer so it’s American s fault. Having no 1st class meal on a 1300 mile flight is bad business but apparently normal for American these days.

  62. I would like to know if she pointed out her lack of a meal to the FA. It may have been a simple error.

  63. Anything is possible that happens on American Airlanes. I have tons of bad experiences and tha is why I hardly use AA. I found them to be rude to senior citizens among other things.

  64. Running out of meals is unfortunate, steps should be taken to avoid it but can happen.

When it does happen the FA and airline needs to make it right. From everything we have here that’s what did not happen. That left open the airline to be accused of racism. But from everything we have here the airline didn’t do their customer right and left themselves open for such an accusation. It was dumb of them not to try to make some accommodation for their mistake.

  65. I’ve got news for her: it happens to other people, including me as a white male, countless times per year on all airlines.

Sucks, but it isn’t racism, it’s a simple error by the catering people.

So who is the real racist here? The not-on-board caterers, who never knew who was going to get shorted by their error, or the woman saying white people were racist for stocking error by people who didn’t know her race? Hint: she’s the racist.

  66. Im sure if she was the last person io reach a sale item and they was already sold out, she would play the race card as well

  67. I wonder if she got upgraded at the last minute. Her attitude is so coach class and not First Class.

  68. The biggest problem and credit is that we all have our own opinions. Like a..holes most stink and depend on the upbringing of the owner. You don’t know what it’s like to be in someone else’s shoes so why be so judgemental. I say if they didn’t apologize or offer substitutions, shame on them. If the woman is lying, the truth will be revealed. Stop hating on someone for their observation of the facts. Because unless you were there, you don’t know the truth. You just want someone to agree with you so you can feel better about yourself.

  69. I feel the need to weigh in here. Too mmany people cry “racism” over the smallest thing. The reasons @gary suggested seem more likely than racism. We Ada society have cried “racism” so much that I now roll my eyes whenever I hear hear it. The sad part is if there were ever a true hate crime committed no sane person would believe it.

  70. I must admit that I wish airlines had a policy of randomizing the order in which they take food orders. They always start at the front and go to the back, so it’s fairly often that by the last row some or all but one of the food choices have run out. Or, as in this case — but it’s very rare — they have run out of food entirely.

So yes, some passengers know this and will not pick seats at the back if they care about the meal choice. But of course if you only get on that flight just before it flies (when you often pay a lot more) you may see only those seats at the back are available. Or if you upgrade (though some would argue that’s fair as you weren’t counting on a 1st class meal at all.)

But just roll some dice (on your phone) and sometimes take orders from the back instead of the front.

  71. She might try looking less like she’s going to a brothel. Just plain ugly.

  72. “When u the only black person…”

I believe what she means is: “When you are the only black person…”

  73. The disgusting replies on here remind me that this country is going up in flames. People have become so horrible to each other, there is no grace only vulgar rhetoric. You can disagree with someone without saying you’d like to see them die or any of the other terrible things said. I’d like to see common decency come back into fashion.

  74. Perhaps a FA or someone who work for one of these caterers can elaborate

  75. How many cards are in the racial grievance deck? An infinite amount, apparently. Which row gets served first (and last) is generally a function of direction of travel. Not sure the target audience this so called “influencer” is trying to influence, but they must be a fairly ignorant lot.

  76. My husband and I were given crappy meals one time on an AA flight because we supposedly ordered vegetarian, which we had not (yes, we were in the back). We are not against vegetarian at all, but these things tasted like they were pulled out of the trash when no one else would have them. So, we left the full plates minus one bite to go back into the refuse pile. I wondered why we weren’t given the cheese pizza everyone else had; until I saw through the curtain where the flight attendants were pulling pizzas out of their little ovens and eating them! Haven’t flown American since.

  77. What??? Princess Waukaunda was denied her inalienable human right to a choice of snacks on a 2:25 flight? How could this be anything other than racism? Only racism of the most utterly racist kind could allow this. And look at the extra clicks the little racist racisty racistic racist onfluencey-racist is getting. Mission Accomplished. Race bait starts in…….

  78. It is stupid race whining crap like this that makes it hard to separate when something happens that was racist. Most claims of racist acts are just a way to get attention. Maybe don’t act like this. So tired of hearing this garbage.

  79. the flight should always have one or two extra meals even if economy meals. Never risk going short it really upsets people esp. if they are paying 1sr class rates.
Failing that the FA could have told the manager at the arriving airport that the first class pax had missed a meal and could he recommend a few FF miles as compensation? Yes I know that AA is cheap.

  80. She didn’t hear the FA apology because she was running her mouth non-stop bitching about how she didn’t get any food because she’s black. Reverse prejudice on show! Influencer = 0 cred.

  81. And yet, Leff feels the need to repost this dreck…giving this “influencer” the clicks and views that this whole contrived incident was meant to drive for her.

the “influencer” doesn’t care about racism (which certainly exists and is widespread in inherent social bias)…she knows this had nothing to do with racism…she only cares about the faux outrage and clicks.

  82. If she is an influencer, she could have used her influencer skills to persuade a flight attendant to find her something to eat. But perhaps she didn’t think to ask.
After all, if she did get something then she’d have nothing to complain about.

  83. Why was I compelled to read this click-bait titled article? Of course to confirm my suspicion that many others seemed to know/share. It’s always them. Influencers… am I right?

  84. A couple other scenarios not mentioned – she doesn’t pre-order and when they get to her, all they have is the cheese plate. This happened a lot to us before we were allowed to pre-order. She doesn’t want the cheese plate, refuses, and now she has no food because AA “refused” her request for hot food.

    OR

She purposely put herself in the last row, didn’t pre-order, and took her chances on AA running out of meals. They don’t run out, no big deal. They DO run out…she’s primed and ready to make it go viral.

  85. “Her attitude is so coach class and not First Class.”

Her attitude is very much first class. Coach passengers don’t get meals on domestic flights so they don’t complain about them.

  86. @Atiya – “Seems American Airlines is always in the news with race issues”
But it’s NOT a race issue. Just because some uses that card, doesn’t mean it’s an issue.
I could run around all day claiming my problems are race related. That doesn’t make it a fact / issue.

  87. So tired of EVERYTHING negative some black people experience is because they are black. STFU with that crap.
It could have happened to anyone.

  88. Playing the race card again just to start the rising of tempers just because she’s an influencer is criminal! It’s an embarrassment as an American to use free speech to her own negative advantage!

  89. Influencer… They are all triggered and will take any opportunity to gain further media attention because it’s the nature of their work and their lives. If chips had been missing she’d have posted it. If a flight attendant have not responded to her call fast enough she’d have posted it. She has no evidence at all to prove this is a race issue because it is a one off case and no mention is made of the colour of other passengers: it’s unlikely she was the only non-Caucasion person on that plane and no other people of colour complained that we know of. Influencer…

  90. I agree that she’s acting ‘coach class’ and not first class.
Meaning someone who regularly travels first class is either a complete Karen A hole or an absolute understanding person who total understands that mistakes happen and they let it go.

An economy flier who could afford first class for once AND is an influencer is more apt to act like they’re “better” or “more deserving” of XYZ.

That’s vibe I’m getting from this whole article. But I didn’t see her video (rural area it wasn’t loading)

As a Hispanic woman who flies first and economy quite often I too have been passed by on meals in this exact scenario, I was last row first class and denied a meal, they were out. The flight attendant (also AA!) gave me pretzels and a ginger ale from economy. I was appreciative and moved on.

  91. This is why there is black fatigue. Now when someone says ‘It’s because I was black.’ I would say 90% of the time it’s safe to assume that it wasn’t. They just seem to think that people actually still believe that. And the bigger issue, when something does happen to a black person because of their race, people just assume they’re just pulling the race card. It’s like how calling people you disagree with racists for years now has made the word utterly irrelevant.

  92. “Influencer” answered it all in one word. After flying on 130 AA flights last year there were one or two blips, but you know what, I got over it.

  93. Assumption: She chose the last row rather than flight attendants Putting Her There Without evidence or testimony either way that’s not a valid assumption. If she felt slighted, there may well be a reason. If I pay for first class, I get first class treatment or a full refund with an apology. No reason she should be different

  94. Hopefully she’s reimbursed for 1st class??. American Airlines is still at fault for poor catering management -which should not happen since it’s an Airplane process 1000x/day not rocket science. Suggests people not use AA if they want top service any way you look at it.

  95. Going through life with a victim mentality makes her a LOSER to me. She wants to perpetuate the false notion this was a race issue when it wasn’t.

  96. I’ve been on flights where frequent flyer status determines who orders and is served the meal first, then everyone else orders and is served front to back. And yes, I’ve been the guy in the rear row window who is told, “I’m sorry sir, all we have left is the cheese plate / veggie sandwich / whatever”. Airlines are in the business to make money. Throwing out uneaten meals costs money. I get that. I’m disappointed. But I don’t sit and complain because I didn’t get a “hot meal” on a three hour flight. Could the flight attendant been more apologetic? I suppose. But none of us were there and witnessed the exchange. It is the word of an “influencer” who needs drama to generate clicks and eyeballs.

  97. How’s about serving the last row first? Is everyone in 1st class is entitled to a meal, regardless of the row they’re sitting in? The way it is now, the person in the last row gets the shaft whenever they’re short a meal. Is it their fault they’re in the last row?
If you started serving from the last row, maybe a person in row one goes hungry?
“You must serve me a meal, I’m in Row One!”
“Sorry, we ran short and since you’re in the last row…”

  98. Or… American Airlines is a bad airline having nothing to do with racism.

I flew my grandma out to visit us and sprung for first class. Some flight diversion occurred resulting in this 90 year old grandmother stranded in the Midwest airport with an un-American Airlines saying Im responsible for overnight stay for her.

Don’t quote me a law in reply. Its called service, which is lacking even for first class.

Zero help, zero responsibility, zero future business from me, first class or economy.

May American Airlines go bankrupt in my lifetime. I curse you “American ” Airlines.

  99. @Atiya , seems like race issues are good way for some folks to make money, even if race isn’t involved, and airlines have deep pockets to pick.
@ Bob.. exactly! influencer means looking for drama to create content.

  100. @ Bukkiah Golden ” Some flight diversion occurred” is a key component. if it’s the airlines fault, then they should and can accomodate passengers, but if it is NOT under the airlines control, ie weather, airport closure ( ground halt), Medical on board… then they are under no obligations, even though you might consider yourself entitled to royal treatment for your $200 ticket.
both Calling it Un-American ( childish at best), and denying laws apply to you, makes one sound like the whitehouse occupant..Felonius 47.

  101. @Greg, I always get a good laugh when I see/hear that suggestion… reimburse me an entire flight because I did’t get a $5 meal. it’s not like they got you to your destination, that a team of at least 4 people worked for you the entire time, used fuel, put wear and tear on the aircraft, not including all the ancillary people needed for a flight, airport taxes etc….
If it were up to me, you would be reimbursed for what you didn’t get. and that all.
$10.00 meal voucher, $5.00 netflix coupon for a broken video monitor,
Up to $20.00 for complete lack of service ( do you know you only pay from $0.25 to $0.56 per hour per flight attendant on board?).

  102. Maybe I’m a nice guy but more than once, I ‘ve gotten my choice of meal, someone in my row doesn’t get what they want or gets nothing and I offer to change my choice or give up my meal. The FA’s are universally thankful and a select few give me a doggy bag of alcohol when I disembark. To complain about not getting a meal on a domestic flight is a thought I’d likely never have, nor would I take the time to go to SM about it.
