Shocking Assault At SFO: Lyft Driver Attacks Passenger He Suspects Is Jewish [Roundup]

News and notes from around the interweb:

  • Lyft driver picks up and then assaults passenger at San Francisco airport – because the driver thought the man was Jewish

The ‘senseless and brutal’ assault occurred after the victim requested a ride from San Francisco Airport through the Lyft app, which Csukás accepted. When Csukás met the victim at the designated pick-up point, he asked the victim if he was Jewish or Israeli.

He then said he wouldn’t transport someone who is Jewish before allegedly striking the victim in the face with his fist.

  • The Club at ATL Refugee Camp plans to eliminate its buffet and add 2,397 square feet in order to get 40-50 more seats in.

  • There appears to be a mechanics’ lien on the hopefully soon-to-open American Express Centurion lounge at Washington National airport. (HT: Bill)

  • Clearly not the first instance of tape:

  • Series of in-room thefts from the Atlanta Buckhead Marriott Courtyard possibly by someone with a master key, perhaps one not well-tracked? (HT: Joe)

A string of burglaries at one Buckhead hotel has raised questions about how thieves managed to steal thousands of dollars worth of items from guests staying on the property.

One of the victims told FOX 5 reporter Joi Dukes she was in town to get her taxes done and visit family and friends. She said she never expected her stay at the Courtyard Marriott to end with her personal belongings stolen and her sensitive information compromised.

…Atlanta police opened investigations into two similar incidents at the property in the past. A man reported his headphones, a company WiFi box and reading glasses stolen in March 2023. Another guest reported having $20,000 worth of jewelry, including a Rolex and $3,600 in cash stolen in August 2023. There was no sign of forced entry into the rooms reported during those incidents.

  • At 23, she landed a job at a 3-star Michelin restaurant. Less than 2 years later, she left to run a food stall in Singapore.

  1. Not really shocking, what did you think they meant when they scream “globalize the intifada”?

Interestingly, this guy’s name suggests he’s from Hungary. There’s a small, but not tiny part of that people that are hard core antisemites (as in Poland, for example). This is the same as always why far-far-right folk, islamists and wokists have one thing in common – they hate jews with a passion.
When the David Duke’s, Farrakhan’s and Ilhan Omar’s of the world all spew hate on you – you know you’re the one with the level headed thinking.

  2. The policy of indiscriminantly killing children enacted by a few old men in charge today will sadly have an affect on us Jewish innocents for years to come.

  3. Yet another reason not to visit San Francisco – I might get punched just for bearing the name of a Jewish king.

  4. @Ann
Yeah it’s terrible what Hamas indiscriminately did to children. But hopefully by the time Israel is done it won’t happen again.

  5. To all of you hate-filled posters, the killing of ALL children, regardless or race or national orgin, is a tragedy that should be not be tolerated by anyone.

  6. @Gene
Then fight like soldiers. Don’t hide in hospitals and schools and launch attacks from there. If someone is shooting from a building you drop a bomb on it. You don’t wave a white flag and ask if there are women and children present. That’s an excellent way to get your soldiers killed. Collateral damage is inevitable when you fight like Hamas.

  7. @ H2oman — Try reading my comment again, without reading into my comment. I am not taking sides. I am pointing out what should be a unviversally agreed fact.

  8. I understood your post. My point is it is impossible, even when one side has a moral compass, to prevent collateral damage when one side doesn’t respect life (Hamas). I haven’t seen one post yet supporting the killing of children. My hope is Israel pounds Hamas hard enough that future children won’t face what is happening now.

  9. @Gene – are you just as concerned by the Muslim Syrian leader killing 500,000 Muslims recently or the Chinese killing 5+ million Muslims over the past 60 years? Where is your outrage for those global massacres? I think everyone understands your post. The answer is simple, release the hostages and have the Hamas maniacs surrender. Israel has been very retrained and disciplined responding to the horrors of 10/7. As a proud American, America responded much stronger during the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq. People need to wake up and educate themselves from their ignorance.

  10. @ Hmmmmm — “Everyone understands my post”? You mean everyone can read whatever they want into my post? I said ALL children, regardless of race or nationality. I made no mention of any specific group or country or religion in my comments, but you and others seem to read that into it.

  11. @Gene

I agree which is why Israel should be allowed destroy Hamas and those that support them.

  12. @Gene

Your post alludes to the LIE that Israel is killing “women and children” which has been proven false time and time again. Hamas is counting their dead terrorists as “civilians”.

Look up pallywood. It shows how the so called “palestinians”‘(aka arab squatters on Jewish land) lie and manipulate the media to influence the usefully idiots in the west.

  13. @ AndyS — My post alludes to NOTHING about ANY race, nationality or religion. Is that not clear now, after I said it three times?

  14. When you start your post with referencing hate filled posters then what exactly do you expect? You state that the posters are supporting the killing of children. If everyone reading your post sees the same thing maybe it’s the person writing the post, not those reading it. You throw bait out there and then deny you’re fishing.

  15. @H2oman – So you don’t approve of how the American revolutionary forces fought against England? Or the resistance fought against the Nazis in World War II? Or how the Jews fought to found Israel?

Not taking sides here. Just pointing out the old cliché that one man’s freedom fighter is another man’s terrorist.

  16. If the troops I supported raped and murdered children I absolutely wouldn’t support them. There’s a difference between attacking my an opposing force and intentionally attacking defenseless civilian populations. If you can’t understand that there’s nothing I can do to convince you.

  17. Lol just the typical genocide justifying drivel here that thankfully most of the world knows is nonsense.

  18. @Gene
Say what you mean then, instead of weak, meaningless platitudes. Your wishy washy pseudo intellectualism won’t get you any moral high ground.
