Since Very Few People Read this Blog on Saturday Evening…

Since tonight it’s just the two of us, I thought I’d give away money.

I’ve got a $100 gift card, and will select a winner at random tomorrow out of those who comment by Noon Eastern on Sunday.

In case you’re looking for something amusing to occupy yourself between Saturday evening and Sunday morning, there is no limit to the number of times you may enter. You can comment as many times you wish, each comment is an entry.

Just chat away, share whatever thoughts you wish. All decisions and rulings made by me are final and unappeallable. By entering you waive any right to sue for or otherwise claim damages. Please don’t give me a hard time when I am trying to give away money or its equivalent. Thank you!

  1. Will Rabbit actually acknowledge that someone is speaking to him/her? Or will he/she just keep posting?

  2. Has anyone ever run a speedtest.net to gauge actual WiFi speed inflight? Curious….Hulu is introducing streaming to devices – means I can watch content on my iPhone in flight and not have to carry my laptop with pre-downloaded movies…but only if wifi is fast enough.

  3. UA had TWO redeyes from SEA to IAD last night. When I saw the second one on the board, I dd a double take. Asked the UC agent why, and he said they needed the equipment in IAD. He also mentioned the redeyes have been full lately. Considering there’s no redeye in January and February, it’s a welcome surprise to see two on my normal route 🙂

  4. Amex Platinum Annual Fee Due
My Amex Platinum card has been great over the past year, even though you have to pay the annual fee of $475 upfront. The biggest benefits for me were the $400 ($200/calendar year) airline credit and the $100 credit for Global Entry card. It’s a no brainer to cancel this card with only benefit to me for keeping it another year would be the $200 airline credit this time around, and other benefits aren’t of significant value to me.   So I called to cancel my card last week, and told the representative I couldn’t see justifying the hefty annual fee. Then began the pitch…he went over each of the benefits of the card that I knew very well, and even though I wanted to tell the guy its no use I really just want to cancel the card, but I continue to listen.  Now I’m ready to interupt the guy to save his time and mine, when he came with his offer…he said ‘as a loyal card holder would you except 50,000 points to stay?’  I had him repeat the offer cause I couldn’t believe it.  Yes, 50,000 points….no spend required!  Yikes!! Even though I will pay the $475, I will get the $200 airline credit and access to  lounges, it is definitely worth another year with this card.  call them and telling them you are thinking on canceling and see if they can make you an offer.  This is what keeps me in the Game of Cards.
